Place all the necessary components in a thermos with a glass flask, fill it with hot but not boiling water and leave for about 40 minutes.

Tea from leaves of fireweed angustifolia

Angustifolia fireweed contains tannins, vitamins, carotene, microelements (manganese, boron), mucus, coumarins, flavonoids, and a coloring matter - vitocyanin. Leaves are prepared for tea during the flowering period. There are two ways to prepare the leaves for brewing tea.

First way .

The green leaves are dried for 48 hours, scattered in a thin layer. After drying, the leaves are rolled by hand until the juice comes out, then they are scattered on an enamel tray in a layer of 4-5 cm, covered with a damp canvas and kept for 24 hours at a temperature of 25 degrees and finally cut and dried. Store tea from leaves of fireweed angustifolia in enamel and glass jars in a dry place 1-2 years.

The result is excellent tea, not inferior to Chinese tea. This tea was produced in the village of Koporye, St. Petersburg province, in the 19th and 20th centuries. Therefore, tea was called Koporye tea.

Second way.

Fresh fireweed leaves are placed in the refrigerator for several hours, and then in an enamel bowl and heated for 40 minutes over very low heat (20-25 degrees). The heated leaf is dried in the oven, finely chopped and stored in glass jars for up to a year.

Koporye tea has a beautiful golden color, is transparent, with a delicate, pleasant aroma, and has a piquant, slightly astringent aftertaste.

Brew fragrant tea in a heated porcelain teapot. Place 2-3 teaspoons of leaves and pour boiling water over them, which is immediately drained, then pour boiling water over the leaves again, cover the kettle with a napkin, and leave for 4-5 minutes. The drink has a tonic and calming effect. To enhance the aroma, you can add a sprig of oregano to the teapot. Tea is served with raisins, dried apricots, sweets, halva, marshmallows, and marmalade.

To brew raspberry branches, you need to take a tablespoon of well-chopped young branches, pour 2 tbsp. boiling water and boil for 3 minutes. After boiling, let the drink brew for a while.
