Omelet with bell peppers and tomatoes in a slow cooker. Lush omelette with tomatoes and milk - step-by-step recipe with photos on how to cook in a slow cooker Omelette in a slow cooker tefal with tomatoes

Previously, I cooked an omelet with tomatoes, lettuce and onions in a frying pan, and then finished baking it in the oven. But with the purchase of a multicooker, preparing such a delicious dish has become easy and quick. I cook an omelet in a slow cooker with vegetables and it turns out, well, very tasty. Try preparing this breakfast for your family too. Step-by-step photos clearly illustrate the cooking process.

Ingredients:

  • eggs – 3 pcs.;
  • tomato – 1 pc. (if large);
  • salad pepper – 1 pc.;
  • onion – 1 pc.;
  • vegetable oil – 10 g;
  • salt - to taste.

How to make an omelet in a slow cooker

Let's start cooking by turning on the multicooker and setting the “frying” mode. In just a couple of minutes while the multicooker is warming up, I usually manage to peel and chop the onions into half rings. Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl, add the chopped onion and fry it, stirring with a spatula.

While the onion is fried, we need to wash the salad pepper, remove its seeds and stem and cut the pepper into thin cubes.

When the onion has already begun to brown a little, add the lettuce pepper to the multicooker bowl.

We need to peel the tomato. To do this, we cut the skin of the tomato crosswise and immerse the tomato in a saucepan with boiling water for three minutes.

After this, remove the tomato from the boiling water and very simply pull the cuts and remove the skin from it. Next, cut the tomato into slices and place it in the multicooker bowl with the rest of the vegetables.

While the tomato is lightly fried, we need to break the eggs into a deep container, salt them and beat them with a fork so that the white and yolk are mixed.

Pour the eggs into the multicooker bowl on top of the vegetables.

We turn off the “frying” mode and switch to the “baking” or “stewing” mode. Cover the multicooker lid and bake the omelette with vegetables for 15 minutes.

After preparing the omelet, it is better not to open the lid immediately; let the omelet with the lid closed stand in the multicooker for another five minutes, then it will be fluffy and will not sag.

In the photo, I specially cut the omelette into smaller pieces so that housewives could appreciate its pleasant porous structure.

I am one of those who believe that breakfast should be complete, and not consist of just oatmeal or yogurt. Still, in the morning you just need to recharge yourself with energy for the whole day, and for this you need to eat a dish that will be both nutritious and light at the same time. Omelette is one of those, it contains healthy proteins that we so need.

You can supplement the omelette with vegetables; it turns out very tasty with tomatoes, so this is my version. And it’s very convenient to cook it in a slow cooker because the equipment will do everything itself, and you won’t waste your morning time on lengthy cooking. Of course, you just have to chop the tomato and lightly fry it along with the onion, and then it’s a matter of technique.

So, to prepare an omelet with tomatoes in a slow cooker, we will need the products from the list.

First, let's prepare the ingredients for the omelet. We will wash and chop the green onions, the white part of the onion will need to be lightly sautéed, and we will simply add the green part to the omelette mixture.

We also cut the tomato pulp into cubes, cutting off the skin and removing the liquid part with the seeds.

Add vegetable oil to the multicooker bowl and sauté the onion in it. Depending on the brand of your appliance, this can be done either in the Frying mode or in the Baking mode.

After a minute, add the tomatoes to the onions and continue sautéing for another minute or two.

While the vegetables are preparing, break the eggs into a bowl, pour milk into them, add a pinch of salt and stir everything with a fork.

We will also grate the cheese.

Now pour the sautéed vegetables with the egg mixture.

Sprinkle chopped green onions on top.

Lastly, pour in the grated cheese and close the multicooker lid, turning on the Baking mode. After 10 minutes, turn off the multicooker by pressing the Off button. or Stop.

You can let the finished omelette stand in the turned off multicooker for another 5-10 minutes while you prepare tea or sandwiches. After we open the lid, this is how it turns out to be an omelette with tomatoes in a slow cooker.

You can easily take it out and put it on a plate. A delicious and healthy breakfast is ready!

Secrets of making a fluffy omelette

Every housewife likes it when omelettes turn out fluffy, like in the photo in a cookbook or in pictures on culinary blogs. Even if the recipe is correct, it does not always reach the desired volumes. The following are the main secrets on which the splendor of the dish depends:

  • Milk should not be larger in volume than eggs. You can get the most airy form with a 50:50 ratio of ingredients.
  • Throughout cooking, you need to maintain medium or low temperature and under no circumstances open the lid.
  • When including various additives, you should not exceed 50% of the total mass: the dish will settle under the weight of the ingredients - it will turn out flat.
  • Adding flour will not make the consistency fluffier.
  • Remember that you should not turn the egg mixture over during cooking: the airy consistency is achieved through properly beaten eggs with milk and the optimal frying mode.
  • Be careful not to turn the omelette over when removing it from the slow cooker. It’s better to let the omelette sit for a while, because this way you won’t expose the fluffy consistency to a sudden temperature change.
