How to read an akathist correctly

This laudatory chant is best read without errors, without making long pauses, without being distracted by extraneous sounds. It is best to stand up and not sit down until the reading is over. At the very beginning, it is necessary to pray to the icon of the Saint, and then proceed to the main text. Try not to let it into your head bad thoughts. As a rule, they climb at the very moment when we communicate with the Lord.

You need to disengage from everything that surrounds you and think about the warmest and best when talking with St. Luke. You can come both to the church and purchase the icon of the Saint at home in order to read the akathist at home. It will be just wonderful if a believer honors the memory of Luke Krymsky on his day - June 11th. This will be a real grace for both the Saint and the one who prays, and for the Lord God. Do not forget that the conversation should be soft, frank, not rude, very slow and honest.

Do not deceive the Saints, they do not like this, because they see absolutely every step of Orthodox people. Listening to the akathist to themselves, the Saints, as guides, convey everything to God, who has long been aware of the human problems that have happened. It is necessary to constantly hope for the best, only in this case Luka Krymsky will be able to help. For many people who read the akathist correctly, observed all the norms, Luke helped to endure a very complex operation from which few people came out alive.

Believe in the Lord God and know that there will always be a Guardian Angel and Saints next to you. It is enough just to pray to Luka Krymsky to become again a healthy person. Healing is a miracle of God and must be believed. It is not for nothing that they say that the Lord punishes everyone for sins, sending illnesses to a person. This is the worst punishment ever. To prevent this from happening, pray to Luka Krymsky, ask that everything be fine. He will definitely listen and help.

PRAYER TO THE HOLY
LUKE, CONFESSOR, ARCHBISHOP OF THE CRIMEAN

O all-blessed confessor, our holy hierarch Luko, the great saint of Christ! With tenderness, bow the knees of our hearts, and falling to your multi-healing power, like a child of the father, we prayed with all your heart: hear us sinners and bring our prayer to the merciful and philanthropic God, to whom you are now in the joy of the saints and with the faces of an angel stand. We believe more, because you love us with the same love that you loved all your neighbors while on earth.

Ask Christ our God to confirm in your holy Orthodox Church the spirit of the right faith and piety: let her shepherds give the holy
jealousy and concern for the salvation of the people entrusted to them: to observe the right of the believer, to strengthen the weak and weak in faith, to instruct the ignorant, contrary to reproof. Give us all a gift that is useful to everyone, and all the same for temporary life and for eternal salvation useful. Our cities are affirmation, the land is fruitful, deliverance from prosperity and destruction. Consolation to those who are ill, healing to those who have lost their way on the path of truth, a return, a parent's blessing, a child in the Lord's passion, upbringing and teaching, help and intercession to the orphans and the poor.

Grant us all your archpastoral and holy blessing, so that by your overshadowing we will get rid of the wiles of the evil one and avoid all enmity and discord, heresies and schisms. Grant us God-pleasing to pass the field of temporal life, guide us on the path leading to the villages of the righteous, deliver us from air ordeals and pray for us to the almighty God, but in eternal life with you we unceasingly glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, He deserves all glory, honor and power forever and ever. Amen.

We invite you to read the akathist to St. Luke of Crimea (Voyno-Yasenetsky).
