Apples baked with cottage cheese in the oven - recipe

The benefits of fermented milk products are undeniable, but not everyone always successfully finds a use for them on their table. It is especially difficult to convince children to eat a healthy, but not sweet, product. In this recipe we will look at how cottage cheese with raisins, baked in a sweet apple “cup”, will turn into a vitamin-rich and nutritious dessert.

Ingredients:

  • apple – 4 pcs.;
  • cottage cheese – 125 g;
  • raisins – 45 g;
  • sugar – 30 g;
  • sour cream – 55 g;
  • vanillin – ¼ teaspoon.

Preparation

Carefully, being careful not to cut through the apple, remove the core with a small amount of pulp. The prepared apple should resemble a cup. Mix cottage cheese with sour cream, add raisins, sugar and vanillin. Fill the apples with the curd-fruit mixture. Bake apples for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.

How to bake apples in the oven without the whole filling?

When baking fruits, you must follow the recommendations for their preparation, which not only indicate the temperature and cooking time, but also help you choose high-quality fruits for baking.

Ingredients:

  • apples – 4 pcs.;
  • water – 90 ml.

Preparation

Before deliciously baking apples in the oven, you should select medium-sized fruits that are sweet to taste, since sour apples become even more sour when baked. The benefits of baking whole apples are enormous thanks to the core, which retains all the beneficial substances.

So, select whole medium-sized apples, dry them after washing. Pour water into the chosen form so that it covers the apples by 1 cm. Place the laid apples in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees. Baking time can vary up to 25 to 30 minutes.

Apples in dough, baked in the oven

Ingredients:

  • apples – 5 pcs.;
  • – 90 g;
  • butter – 120 g;
  • – 110 g;
  • flour – 240 g;
  • a pinch of salt.

Preparation

Finely chop the frozen butter and combine it with powdered sugar, salt and flour. Knead the resulting dough a little, form it into a ball and divide into 5 parts, according to the number of apples. Wrap the pieces in film and refrigerate them for 20 minutes.

Peel the washed apples from the core on the opposite side of the stem. Fill the prepared apples with currant jam, take out the chilled dough and roll each ball into a round layer. Place an apple on each layer and wrap with dough. Apples are baked for half an hour at a temperature not lower than 180.

Even very tasty apples, freshly picked from the tree, can become boring. Then baked apples in the oven come to the rescue - an everyday dietary dish or an elegant holiday treat, depending on what ingredients you included in the recipe and how you served it. Magic Food has put together a collection of recipes: from a simply cooked apple to a complex pie, but I’ll start with the general principles of preparing the dish.

Theory of the issue

Whole or pieces?

Traditionally, apples stuffed with filling are baked whole. To do this, the top of the fruit is cut off, the core is removed with a special knife, and the filling is placed in a hole approximately 3 cm wide. However, this method is not the only one. Apples are wrapped in dough (apples in dough), cut into pieces or slices and baked, sprinkled with sugar and spices, included in the apple pie - whole, without cutting into slices or otherwise.

About fillings and sauces

Recipes for baked apples include a variety of dessert and snack fillings. The most popular are sugar, nuts, especially walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon. Minced meat for baked apples can include almost all dried fruits, berries, ginger, vanilla, nutmeg, star anise, and cloves. Fruits of paradise are stuffed with cottage cheese and rice, oatmeal, pumpkin and citrus pieces. Before putting it in the oven, place a couple of peas of butter on the minced meat. Drizzle with liquid honey, maple syrup, lemon juice, toppings, and sauces. Served with scoops of ice cream, cream, and jam.

Sometimes recipes call for cooking apples with water, which prevents them from burning. You get baked apples in your own sauce: water mixed with juice and melted butter. When serving, pour the sauce from the baking sheet over the finished apples.

Which apples are good for cooking in the oven?

You can bake any fruit, but it’s better autumn varieties(they have a hard skin that won’t fall apart), medium size, since large ones take longer to bake. The solid Antonovka and Granny Smith, Simirenko and McIntosh are equally good - the key word here is “ hard“, they retain their shape when baked. The peel can also be removed before or after cooking.

More tips:

  1. Peeled apples or, as in our case, with the core removed, darken, sprinkle them with lemon juice or cook immediately.
  2. Stuff not very tightly, leave 1 cm empty on top so that the filling does not leak out. The apple should have a “bottom” of approximately the same thickness (1.5 cm).
  3. Ready apples can be easily pierced with a knife. The apples are very hot straight out of the oven, let them cool!
  4. Don't leave uneaten dessert on the table - put it in the refrigerator. It will normally stay there for 2-3 days.

Apple in dough, cooked in the oven

But this is already my favorite option - a soft and juicy apple goes perfectly with a thin and crispy shortcrust pastry shell. Of course, it turns out a little more satisfying than the classic version, however, a couple of extra calories are worth it!

Ingredients

  • about 5-6 apples;
  • 2-3 tbsp. l. thick red jam (cherry, currant, plum);
  • 100 g quality butter;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • 100 g powdered sugar;
  • 200 g flour.

How to bake an apple in dough

  1. Chop the frozen butter with powder, salt and flour - chop quickly and finely. I use a food processor, but two knives also work well for this job.
  2. We collect the dough into a ball, then divide it into 5-6 parts (depending on the number of apples), wrap it in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
  3. At this time, wash and peel the apples, remove the core, and do this on the side opposite the cutting (let it remain - it’s more beautiful with it!). We put a little jam inside each apple.
  4. We take out the dough (one ball at a time), roll it into a round shape and wrap it around the apple, starting from the side of the “hole” with jam. Perhaps you will have very large fruits - then you can simply make a “plate” in which to place the apple. I like it this way even more - when I eat three servings at once, I amuse myself with the illusion that there is not enough dough in them, just a little!
  5. Place the apples in the dough in a baking dish and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about half an hour.

Ready! Delicious, incredibly tasty when warm (with a scoop of ice cream - you'll swallow your tongue!), amazing, incredibly crispy and juicy when cold (with whipped cream - you'll sell your homeland!).

Twice baked apple in the oven

A delicious and delicate dessert that is not ashamed to serve on the holiday table - it not only looks amazing, but also tastes magical!

Ingredients

  • 6 apples;
  • half a lemon;
  • 50 ml cream;
  • a handful of nuts;
  • 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 1 yolk;
  • 2 cinnamon sticks.

How to cook apples, twice baked in the oven

  1. Peel 4 apples and cut them in half crosswise. I recommend leaving a “tail” on the top half of the apple - this way the apple will look much more original and fun.
  2. Using a special spoon or a sharp knife, remove the core - make sure that you remove the membranes along with the seed pod (it is very unpleasant when hard membranes are found in the tender pulp of baked apples).
  3. Place the halves together and place the apples in a baking dish. Add a little water (it should not cover the fruit by more than 1 cm) and put the apples in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for half an hour.
  4. Wash the remaining 2 apples, peel them, remove the core and grate them on a medium grater. Mix with sugar, yolk and cream, add the juice and zest of half a lemon. The filling is ready.
  5. We take the apples out of the oven, open them and place the bottom half in portioned serving rings that are suitable for baking in the oven. If you (like me) don’t have such “happiness” yet, you can fold the foil several times and make rings of the desired diameter from it.
  6. Fill the rings with the filling up to the top cut, cover with the “lid” from the top of the apple and place in the same baking dish. Place cinnamon sticks nearby and bake for another half hour at 180 degrees. Periodically remove the pan from the oven and pour over the resulting juice.

Delicious both hot and cold. Serve sprinkled with roasted and chopped nuts. Incredibly delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Pie with baked apples and chocolate filling

It looks like baked apples, but in the form of a pie! A magical recipe for fruit and chocolate lovers. Ideal for a large family tea party.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs;
  • 1 glass of sour cream;
  • 2 tbsp. l. butter;
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • 1 tsp. soda;
  • 1/3 tsp. salt;
  • 1.5 cups flour;
  • 5-7 small apples;
  • 1 chocolate bar;
  • 3 tbsp. l. cream;
  • 100 g shortbread cookies;
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.

Recipe for pie with baked apples in the oven

  1. First of all, wash the fruits and remove the skins. If they do not “stand” very steadily on the table, it is worth cutting off a little of the apple from the bottom. Using a special knife, you need to remove the core, removing all the seeds and films from the apple.
  2. Prepare a baking dish - cover it with paper and, if you don’t trust the quality of the parchment, lightly grease it with any oil.
  3. We lay out, or rather, we put out the apples - evenly distributing them throughout the entire form.
  4. We break the cookies into small pieces, very small ones. Break the chocolate into pieces, add cream, heat in the microwave or in a water bath, pour into cookies, add cinnamon and mix thoroughly.
  5. Stuff the apples with the resulting mixture.
  6. Prepare the dough. Beat sugar and eggs, add melted butter. Separately mix sour cream, salt and soda, add to the egg mixture. Sift the flour and mix until smooth.
  7. Pour the resulting dough over the apples and bake at 180 degrees for at least an hour. We check readiness with a toothpick - make sure that it pierces the dough and not the apples. Due to the moisture of the apples, the pie will take longer to bake than usual, so keep that in mind!

When slicing the pie into portioned pieces, try to move the knife in such a way as to cut the apple in half (the fruit is clearly visible from the tubercles under the dough) - then on the cut you will get extraordinary beauty: yellowish sour cream sponge cake, white apples, dark chocolate.

About the benefits

I won’t list the vitamins and elements of the periodic table that apples are rich in - it’s boring and uninteresting, and so everyone knows that the only thing healthier than this fruit is a basket of fruits. They cleanse the body, fill it with nutrients, remove cholesterol, strengthen the immune system - all this and a bunch of other advantages make the apple an indispensable component of a healthy diet, however, in my opinion, this is not the main thing.

It's tasty. Just delicious, and that says it all! It is unlikely that you will endlessly chew, for example, parsley root just because it is healthy. But you can eat apples – and almost endlessly. The ending is determined solely by the moment the house runs out of apples. Red and green, yellow and orange, small and large, tight and soft, sour and sweet, juicy and fleshy - the choice of options that an apple has is so great that you can please everyone.

The calorie content of a baked apple is 47 kcal.

They say that when baked, this fruit is much better absorbed by the body. I fully believe that after baking, the hero of the day acquires the ability to improve metabolic processes, accelerate the removal of all debris from the intestines and have a beneficial effect on the skin.

They also say that with regular consumption of baked apples, there is a certain opportunity to lose weight - potassium, which “lives” in large quantities in this product, successfully fights sodium, which retains moisture in subcutaneous fat. At the same time, 100 g of baked apple contains only 47 kcal. A nonsense benefit, of course, but still nice! In general, long live the apple!

Baked apple is a wonderful dish that is now undeservedly forgotten by many.

It is very healthy and tasty.

And you can cook baked apples in the oven in a variety of ways: whole, in slices, in halves, with fillings and sauces.

Here are the most delicious recipes for this simple delicacy.

Baked apples in the oven - general cooking principles

It is better not to use summer apples for cooking. Since they have a thin skin, which may burst during cooking. The pulp of the summer fruit turns out to be crumbly and too soft, which is also not to everyone’s taste.

Ideally, it is better to use autumn apples of sour or sweet and sour varieties, for example, Antonovka. But in winter, you can use any fruit that is available. They are all suitable, as they are not very juicy and have dense flesh.

What are apples prepared with?

With dried fruits;

With nuts;

With cottage cheese;

With cereals.

Sugar or honey is added for sweetness. Vanillin and cinnamon are added for flavor. Although the baked fruit itself smells amazing, as do most of the fillings.

Recipe 1: Honey baked apples in the oven

Classic recipe for baked apples in the oven. For preparation you will need natural honey, as well as sour apples.

Ingredients

5 teaspoons honey;

A little vanilla;

A piece of foil.

Preparation

1. You need to immediately turn on the oven, set it to 180 degrees.

2. Wash the apples and dry them with a towel. The skin is never removed.

3. Take a small knife with a sharp tip and cut a hole in a circle from the side of the stalk. The task is to cut out the stub, but not completely. That is, there should not be a hole on the opposite side so that the honey does not leak out.

4. Line a small mold with foil or simply cover two layers of foil.

5. Lay out the prepared fruits.

6. Pour a small pinch of vanilla into each well and add a spoonful of honey.

7. Fold the free edges of the foil inward. There is no need to connect, just cover it slightly.

8. Place the apples in the oven and bake. The time depends on the variety, size and juiciness of the fruit and can range from 10 to 40 minutes.

Recipe 2: Baked apples in the oven with cinnamon

To prepare baked apples in the oven according to this recipe, it is better to cut the fruit. This will make it easier to spread the cinnamon powder evenly and ensure it saturates the halves evenly. You can bake this recipe with either honey or sugar.

Ingredients

Honey or sugar.

Preparation

1. Wash the apples and cut them into 2 halves.

2. Cut out the core from each, making small boats.

3. Sprinkle the halves with cinnamon over the entire surface.

4. If sugar is used, then pour a little into the hole and lightly sprinkle on top over the entire area. You shouldn’t pour too much, the sugar will melt and drip off.

5. If honey is used, then simply put half a spoon into the hole. There is no need to smear anything on the surface.

6. Transfer the preparations into a mold, put them in the oven and bake until the fruit is soft.

Recipe 3: Baked apples in the oven with cottage cheese

To prepare rosy, tender apples baked in the oven with a melting filling, you will need good cottage cheese, preferably not dry. This dish can be an excellent alternative to cheesecakes and casseroles, as it is much easier to prepare.

160 grams of cottage cheese;

5-6 apples;

1 yolk;

0.5 spoons of starch;

2 spoons of powder;

A little vanilla.

Preparation

1. Place cottage cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla with yolk in a bowl, add starch. Mix the mixture with a blender or mixer. Dry and grainy cottage cheese can be rubbed through a sieve before preparing the filling. You can also add a little sour cream if you wish to make the mixture more tender.

4. Fill the prepared holes with curd mass.

5. Place the apples in a mold or simply on foil and bake in the oven. At 190 degrees this will take about half an hour. But we focus on our apples.

Recipe 4: Baked apples in the oven with nuts and raisins

Recipe for very aromatic apples with amazing filling. In addition to raisins and nuts, honey is added, making the dish even healthier.

3. Chop the nuts with a knife and put 2 in each apple.

4. Then spread the raisins evenly over all the fruits.

5. Place bee honey on top. There is no need to melt it, even if it is very thick. In the oven it will become thinner and soak through the entire filling.

6. Mix sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle apples on top.

7. Place in the mold and put in the oven. Bake for half an hour until done.

30 grams of ginger;

4 spoons of white wine.

For the sauce:

250 ml cream;

1 vanilla pod;

2 yolks;

30 grams of sugar.

Preparation

1. Place the cream on the stove. Better in a saucepan. Heat until bubbles appear along with the vanilla pod, but do not let them boil. Remove from heat and let sit for a quarter of an hour. We take out the pod.

2. Whisk the yolks with granulated sugar and pour into the cream. Place on the stove again and heat until slightly thickened. The sauce is ready, you just need to cool it. In the meantime, you can get busy with the apples.

3. Wash the fruit, remove the core with a special device, but do not push it all the way through; the bottom should remain. If there is no special recess, then simply cut out the hole with a sharp knife.

4. Peel and chop the ginger. You can simply grate it with a grater.

5. Combine chopped ginger with honey and grind well.

6. Spread the ginger filling over the apples and distribute evenly.

7. Transfer the fruits into the mold and add a little wine to each and place a small piece of butter on top.

2. Add butter and sugar to hot rice and stir.

3. Wash the raisins and add them to the rice filling along with vanilla. Mix everything well.

4. Place on a greased frying pan in one layer. If they don’t fit, then we overlap them.

5. Mix sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle on top.

6. Take the remaining butter and cut it into small pea-sized pieces and place it on top of the apples.

7. Place in the oven and fry until caramel color, do not reduce the temperature.

Recipe 8: Baked apples in the oven with oatmeal

3. Cut out the insides of the apples, forming barrels.

4. Fill with filling and put in the oven. Bake until the apples are ready at 180 degrees.

The apples will be more beautiful if they are sprinkled with brown rather than white sugar before putting them in the oven.

Apples can be baked along with other dishes. But you need to seal them tightly in foil so that the flavors don’t mix.

To prevent the fruit filling from leaking out, do not fill the hole completely. Approximately 0.5 centimeters are left from the top.

It is undesirable for whole apples to come into contact with each other during baking. If there is a distance between them, the cooking will be more even.

There are a number of advantages over others. Firstly, baked apples in the oven are a low-calorie product, which is of great importance for those who want to lose weight. Secondly, the benefits of baked apples have long been known, since even after baking in the oven they continue to contain useful substances and vitamins. Not only do baked apples in the oven remove unnecessary cholesterol from the body, but they also have a beneficial effect on the functioning of the entire digestive system.

There is also thirdly, fourthly, fifthly... But from all of the above, one significant conclusion can be drawn - this tasty, healthy, affordable dessert is simply necessary in the diet of adults and children in order to feel light, healthy and get satisfaction from what they eat. The dishes are a real pleasure, not a harm.

Preparing baked apples in the oven couldn't be easier. Select large green apples for baking with a sweet and sour taste and dense flesh. These baked apples are much tastier than yellow or red ones. The Antonovka variety is ideal for cooking.

So, the fruits have been selected, now you need to wash them thoroughly, cut off the top, and you can leave the “lid” with the tail. Next, using a teaspoon or a special knife, cut out the core and remove the seeds. If you prefer to use a knife, then give preference to the ceramic option so that the apples do not darken.

Place the peeled apples, funnel side up, on a baking sheet or baking dish and pour in a little water. Place filling into each hole based on your taste preferences. Sugar, raisins, honey, berries, jam or preserves, cottage cheese, sour cream, butter, dried fruits, banana, cranberries, nuts, chocolate - each of these ingredients fulfills its mission. For example, sour cream or butter gives apples a soft taste, honey - a unique aroma, and raisins, dried apricots, and nuts - a wonderful note of piquancy. Place the apples filled with filling in an oven preheated to 180ºC and bake for 20-30 minutes. Don't forget to check the oven from time to time to make sure the apple skins don't crack. If you are tired of fresh fruits, or want to do something unusual with them, the easiest way is to bake them. This is mostly done with pears and apples: baked apples in the oven are a fairly light, tasty and healthy dish.

Before you start studying recipes for specific dishes, it is worth understanding some key features. In particular, pay attention to the issue of choosing the right apples for baking. These should be varieties with good skin (dense), since it is this that will protect the pulp from spreading during heat treatment. Basically, experts advise buying autumn apples, including green varieties (Simirenko, Granny Smith) and some yellow ones (Golden). A few more points:

  • Remove the core very carefully: this can be done with a special cylindrical knife or a serrated vegetable knife, and partially scrape out the pulp with a spoon. It is important to maintain thick walls and bottom, otherwise the apples will lose their shape when baking.
  • Select fruits of the same size, otherwise they will cook unevenly.
  • You can bake apples either whole (in the form of a cup) or cut in half, and the latter option will cook faster.

If desired, baked apples can be prepared with filling: mainly cottage cheese, berries, fruits, cereals (mostly rice), or they are simply sprinkled with spices - cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and brown sugar.

It is advisable for children to prepare fruits without unnecessary additives, especially in the form of spices, to which allergies may occur, so baked apples for the children's menu are preferably with honey and butter. You can also add a few raisins or dried apricots, mixed with a spoonful of sour cream, and used to decorate the finished dessert.

Ingredients:

  • large apples – 2 pcs.;
  • honey – 2 table. spoons;
  • white raisins – 2 tsp. spoons;
  • dried apricots – 4 pcs.;
  • sour cream 20% – 2 table. spoons.

Baked apples with cottage cheese in the oven for dessert

This dish is no less tasty if you add a filling to the apples, which is based on soft (in briquettes) cottage cheese. You can add any fruit, dried fruit or berries to it, or simply combine it with egg white and sugar. And after baking, the dessert is decorated with any chopped nuts (almonds are used in this recipe, but this is not important).

Ingredients:

  • Granny Smith apples – 3 pcs.;
  • cottage cheese 5% – 180 g;
  • egg (white) – 1 pc.;
  • brown sugar - 1 table. spoon;
  • almonds – 10 pcs.

Cooking method:
