In the main settlement of the valley - Mayrhofen - there are 2 ski areas: Ahorn and Penken, however, you can also take a free ski bus to other resorts in the region.

Ahorn / Ahorn(650 m - 1965 m). You take a gondola to the top and can ride along five blue and two red slopes (15 km of descents in total). The slope is served by six rope tows and is good for beginner skiers.

Penken / Penken(650 m - 2095 m). Spacious ski area. The Penkenbahn gondola lift runs from the center of Mayrhofen. All the trails in the “treeless” zone are wide and, as a rule, in perfect condition in the morning, but in the evening, bumps may appear on the most popular sections (red routes No. 6, No. 16, No. 5).

For experts - black route No. 17 from the top station of the new Schneekar ski lift to the top station of the Horbergbahn ski lift - long and wide with a convenient location on the slope. One can also note the virgin descent to Hippach - perhaps the most interesting and difficult.

For intermediate skiers, the sector with red slopes is interesting, starting from the top station of the Finkenberger Almbahn lift - No. 13 and No. 13a to the middle station of the same lift, or No. 12 to the Katzenmoos lift.

The beginner's section on Penkenbahn is small - along the rope tow at the Penkenbahn upper station. It’s better to go to Ahorn - it’s sunny and the routes are easier.
