Paul fell grass appeared in our country relatively recently and quickly proved its effectiveness in the treatment of many diseases.

The homeland of the grass is hot tropical countries. Previously, it was supplied to Russia only from the island of Ceylon, but gradually compatriots developed their own technology for growing the medicinal plant, and now half the plant can be found in the summer cottages of admirers of traditional medicine.

The grass reaches a height of no more than 140 cm, has green branched stems with rounded leaves and a grayish root with numerous branches. In July it becomes covered with small white or cream flowers and blooms until early autumn.

Many herbalists call erva woolly and use not only its stems, but also its roots and seeds for treatment. The beneficial properties of the plant are ensured by its unique composition, which is striking in its diversity:

  1. An abundance of potassium and calcium, which strengthen the blood vessels of the heart, immunity, musculoskeletal system, and normalize blood pressure.
  2. Flavonoids have a calming effect, give elasticity to blood vessels and strengthen their walls. Protect from the harmful effects of background radiation.
  3. Alkaloids relieve spasms and dull the feeling of pain, stop bleeding and improve blood circulation.
  4. Pectins rid the body of toxins, regulate metabolism and reduce cholesterol levels.
  5. Phenolic acids have an antibacterial effect. Their properties are successfully used for wound healing.
  6. Inorganic salts and amino acids maintain water balance, increase hemoglobin, help remove kidney stones and reduce vascular tone.

Thanks to this set of healing properties, erva woolly grass has indications for the treatment of a wide range of diseases. Pol-pal in folk medicine is used to restore the liver, heal the stomach, urinary system, bronchitis, and skin rashes.

How does the herb affect the body?

For cystitis, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, gallstones and kidney stones, urethritis, pol pala grass is used as a means of removing salts and water from the body. The decoction is gentle and does not lead to dehydration, so it can be taken for a long time without fear.

It is useful to brew and drink the herb for people living in big cities, where there is a lot of smog from car exhaust, and for those whose homes are located in places with high radiation. The healing liquid cleanses the body of the accumulation of radioactive substances, dissolves toxins and is an excellent tumor prevention. An infusion of the herb has indications for healing ulcers, polyps and improves the functioning of the entire gastrointestinal tract.

Erva woolly grass is effective for cirrhosis of the liver and diseases of the pancreas. It reduces blood glucose levels, so it is useful to drink as an aid to patients with type 2 diabetes.

Harvesting and using grass

The herb sold at the pharmacy consists of a mixture of stems, roots and seeds mixed in equal quantities. It is convenient to use for preparing decoctions and infusions. When a plant is grown at home, it must be properly prepared so that it retains its medicinal properties:

  1. At the beginning of October, the seeds are collected, the plant is uprooted, cleared of soil, finely chopped and dried along with the seeds in a warm room with good ventilation.
  2. Dried herbs are stored in bags made of natural fabric, which are hung in a dry, cool room. If everything is done correctly, the plant does not lose its medicinal properties for about 3 years.

To strengthen the immune system and for colds, it is useful to take herbal tea, which helps clear the respiratory tract of mucus and speeds up recovery.

To prepare you need 2 tsp. dry herbs pour 200 mg of boiling water. Cover with a lid and leave for 10 minutes. Then strain, cool to 40 °C, add honey if desired and drink as tea 2 times a day.

Infusion and decoction recipes

Kidney stones formed from excess uric acid can be crushed and removed using a decoction of Erva woolly. This recipe is effective for pyelonephritis, urethritis, prostatitis and other diseases of the urinary system and stomach. It is useful to drink to prevent heart attacks and strengthen blood vessels.

There is no need to throw away the grass cake. It can be used for external purposes, such as to treat boils and acne.

  1. To get rid of a pimple, you need to take a piece of gauze, fold it several times and put a layer of wet cake on it. Treat the boil with an antiseptic and apply a compress to it. Secure the bandage with a bandage and walk around with it for 2 hours. After several applications, the abscess will come out, and the wound will quickly heal.
  2. To improve your complexion and cleanse your skin from acne, you can make a mask of warm oil cake before bed. You will need to clean your face with water and cover it with boiled herbs for 20 minutes. It is necessary to carry out the procedure 2 times a week for a month and the skin will noticeably cleanse, become fresh and beautiful. Before use, be sure to check your skin for an allergic reaction.

Use decoctions, infusions and cakes only fresh and do not store for more than a day so that they do not lose their medicinal properties and deteriorate, turning from medicine into poison. The effectiveness of the plant is so high that the herb is included in a number of herbs and even medications.

Precautionary measures

Despite the huge number of healing properties, woolly erva has a number of contraindications that must be taken into account so as not to harm the body:

  1. The grass can cause an allergic reaction.
  2. If the disease has a tendency to excrete calcium in large quantities, you should stop taking half a day. Such diseases include hypoparathyroidism and renal osteodystrophy.
  3. Cannot be used for rickets.
  4. Weed is prohibited for children under 12 years of age.
  5. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is advisable to avoid the product.

If there are no contraindications to the use of the herb, you should take it with caution at first, because it can cause side effects. The main symptoms are nausea and allergic rash.

The main contraindication is not to rinse your mouth with liquid or drink from a cup. Erva woolly quickly destroys tooth enamel, so the medicine can only be drunk from a straw. After taking the decoction or infusion, you should thoroughly rinse your mouth and brush your teeth.

When you discover you have kidney stones, you start looking for ways to cure them. Fortunately, there are many medications that are available to varying degrees. If only I had money, I went to the pharmacy and bought what I needed. But it's not that simple.

Many people know very well what horrors are happening in pharmacies today. Up to 1/3 of all medicines are counterfeited. There are also doctors here - they always strive to prescribe expensive medicine that is completely unaffordable. When you ask how much the medicine they prescribed me costs, they answer that they don’t know. What kind of doctors are these if they are not in the know?

Trust in pills is being lost more and more. Therefore, people resort to folk remedies and herbs to treat the disease. It is in them that people today see real helpers in treatment.

Half-fallen grass, or erva woolly grass, is one of the best means of preventing and getting rid of urolithiasis. In my opinion, it is not counterfeited - what's the point in counterfeiting grass? It costs a penny and is absolutely affordable.

But this woolly erva grass heals stones like a magician. She works wonders. I always have a large supply of this herb in my pantry, which I constantly replenish. The miraculous properties of half-fallow will be discussed below. Besides this, there is a not very pleasant moment that I must definitely talk about.

Half-fallen miraculous grass

Its official botanical name is Erva Woolly. Origin is due to the island of Ceylon in the state of Sri Lanka. It is also grown in Russia, both officially and for personal consumption, in vegetable gardens.

Let's look at what kind of half-palm this is, instructions for its use, beneficial properties and the truth about the woolly erva, which for some reason is kept silent.

Half-false instructions

If you take the box in which the half-pal is sold and read the instructions, you will see that the properties of woolly erva are listed in just a few lines. Indications for use in the official statement are only for use as a diuretic and anti-inflammatory agent.

However, traditional medicine looks at sex differently. Let's list the main qualities of this herb so that it becomes immediately clear what its advantages are over other remedies.

  1. Powerful diuretic. It differs in that, unlike other diuretics, it does not lead the body to severe dehydration. Helps remove uric acid, urea and chlorides in case of urolithiasis, pyelonephritis, urethritis and cystitis. Thanks to the action of the grass, sand is driven out of the body. Of course, there are drugs with a similar effect, for example, phytolysin (phytolysin during pregnancy), canephron. But these are already medications.
  2. Restores salt balance. If there are disturbances in water-salt metabolism, such as with spondylosis and gout, the herb helps restore it.
  3. Natural anti-inflammatory. Often, expensive medications are not required to relieve the inflammatory process, which is reduced by increased urination as a result of the action of Erva woolly.

I have listed only three main qualities of the herb. She also has a whole lot of advantages. I'll try to list it in one breath.

  • It strengthens the immune system, treats prostatitis and the pancreas, organizes the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, treats atherosclerosis, polyarthritis, normalizes blood pressure and metabolism.
  • Pol-pal has a calming effect on the nervous system, it is used for diseases of the upper respiratory tract (tracheitis and bronchitis), and clears the respiratory tract of toxins. It is used to treat hemorrhoids.
  • Restores sufficient potassium ion balance. Used in the treatment of ovaries, uterus, spine, polyarthritis. Treats constipation, fibroids, fibroids, acute respiratory infections.
  • Erva woolly removes toxins from the body. There is information that helps get rid of the effects of radioactive substances. In many cases, it helps to treat diseases without surgery, for which the herb is rightly called affectionately among the people - "surgeon without a scalpel", and "surgeon by nature".

Ways to obtain herb

The easiest way is to go to the pharmacy and buy. There are packs of 30 and 50 grams. This is how I ensure my supplies. The shelf life is quite long - three years.

However, there is another way - growing grass at home. This is done through seedlings. The method requires a garden. Growing requires quite serious care.

I believe that growing your own herb for consumption would not be worth it for the following reasons:

  • Half-fallow grown in the domestic climate loses its medicinal properties. We must remember that the grass is of tropical origin, and appropriate conditions are required for its cultivation.
  • If frequent use is necessary for prevention and treatment, a large amount of herb is required. We’re not going to plant the entire garden with half a tree - we also need to plant potatoes somewhere!

This is my personal opinion, with which you may disagree. Many gardeners plant half a tree, use it safely and do not complain.

Method for preparing woolly erva decoction - trust the manufacturer

The packaging states that The decoction is made in 2 ways:

Method 1 - infusion in a water bath

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons of herbs into an enamel bowl
  2. Pour 1 cup boiling water
  3. Leave in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes
  4. Let cool at room temperature for 45 minutes
  5. Strain and squeeze
  6. Add the volume of the decoction with boiled water to 200 ml (glass)

Method 2 - cooking in a thermos

  • Pour boiling water over 2 tablespoons of herbs
  • Leave for an hour

The second option seems to me more convenient and simpler. That's why I use it. I even purchased a special small half-liter thermos for this purpose. With your permission, I took a photo of my thermos on the windowsill. However, the boxes with half a pile were also photographed there.

I read sites on the Internet. Somewhere they write that you need to insist for up to 8-10 hours. I think it's wrong:

  • Firstly, the deadlines are officially written on the packaging of the woolly erva itself.
  • Secondly, the brewed herb loses its properties, deteriorates over time and turns from grass into poison.

Therefore, be careful and, in order not to harm yourself, brew the herb as the manufacturer advises. In addition, always drink a fresh decoction for a maximum of 24 hours. There should not be any 2-3 days of storage.

How to take half a decoction

Again, refer to the instructions on the packaging.

  1. Shake the infusion of woolly erva
  2. If it's cold, warm it up
  3. Take warm 50-100 ml (from ¼ to half a glass) 15 minutes before meals 2-3 times a day
  4. The course of treatment and prevention is from 10 to 30 days.

Thanks to mathematical research, I come to the conclusion that when drinking half a glass of the decoction 3 times a day, 80 grams are required for a course of 10 days, and 240 grams of dry herb for a course of 30 days.

Therefore, for 1 month of use, 5 packages of half-paly, 50 grams each, or 8 packages, 30 grams each, are required.

For prevention, I use half a stick according to the scheme - “ I drink for a month - I rest for a month" This helps me keep my urinary system relatively clean.

Side properties of Erva woolly - why is the manufacturer hiding the truth?

The box with the herb indicates possible side effects - nausea, allergic reactions. However, there is one more action that everyone does not want to experience.

I really want to protect you from the consequences that happened to me. I don't know for what reason, but the manufacturer is hiding a serious side effect that can be costly.

You should know that Half a decoction significantly damages tooth enamel.

I've been drinking it for so long that my front teeth have become very thin. I was extremely confused, and the dentists shrugged their shoulders. I had no idea that this was the effect of the herb. And when I realized, it was already too late.

The teeth ground against each other so much that their upper part became transparent...

Therefore, as a person who has suffered from a dishonest manufacturer, I am warning you.

Plants with medicinal properties can be found in any climate zone, and the peoples inhabiting these territories use medicinal herbs in folk medicine. Many types of medicinal plants are exported to other countries, such as the herb, the main supplier of which until recently was Fr. Ceylon. Since 1992, woolly Erva (Aerva lanata) - this is the botanical name of the plant - has been included in the register of medicinal plants approved for use on the territory of the Russian Federation, and a technology for the industrial cultivation of this plant in conditions typical for Russia has been developed.

The grass is half fallen (woolly erva)

The official botanical name of the grass is woolly erva (Aerva lanata).

Pol-pal is a biennial herbaceous plant, the height of which is about 140 cm. This plant has a gray-white taproot, from which a few lateral branches extend.

The grass stems, green in color and up to 1 cm in diameter, are highly branched and can be either erect or creeping. The leaves of the plant have an elliptical (sometimes almost round) shape. The length of the leaves does not exceed 2 cm, and the width is 1.5 cm.

Small and rather inconspicuous flowers are half-painted and have a perianth of cream or whitish-green color. The flowers of the plant are collected in spike-shaped inflorescences. The small fruit of this plant is distinguished, firstly, by its box-shaped shape, and secondly, by its elongated spout.

The plant blooms from July until the onset of cold weather.

The homeland of the grass is half-false - the island of Ceylon, which belongs to the territory of the state of Sri Lanka. But today this plant is also grown in Russia, but the herb grown in Ceylon still has the maximum number of medicinal properties (it is important to correctly collect, process and dry the plant, which are carried out according to ancient recipes passed on from one generation to another).

Those who want to grow woolly erva in their garden should remember that this tropical plant requires high humidity, warmth and sunlight for full growth.

Important! Since 1992, it has been included in the register of medicinal plants, therefore the instructions for using this medicinal herb have been approved by order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Useful properties of pol-pala

Due to its set of useful elements, Erva woolly is called a miracle grass by many. It has the following medicinal properties:

  • Kidney diseases. A decoction or infusion is used for pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis, as it has a bacteriostatic effect, and also, due to its diuretic effect, helps restore the filtration function of the kidneys and helps with edema caused by fluid retention. Used as part of litholytic therapy, it is able to dissolve low-density kidney stones consisting of uric acid salts, the so-called urate ones. With oxalates, it promotes their excretion in the urine. Treatment should begin after diagnosing the composition and size of the stones and consulting a surgeon. If the prognosis is favorable, it is quite possible to get rid of stones without a scalpel;
  • Bladder diseases. It has an anti-inflammatory effect and relieves unpleasant pain symptoms in cystitis, and in case of urolithiasis, it promotes the removal of metabolic products and fights hyperuricemia. For such treatment, it is also necessary to prescribe a doctor who will confirm that the stones can be dissolved;
  • Gastrointestinal diseases. For chronic pancreatitis, prophylactic use of a decoction or infusion, which has a mild antispasmodic effect, is useful. In case of cholelithiasis, it helps in case of formation of small cholesterol stones, which are recommended to be removed. Activates processes in the gallbladder, preventing stagnation of its contents. In case of gastritis, it has a detrimental effect on pathogenic bacteria (Helicobacter pylori). It is a hepatoprotective agent, protects the liver, in particular hepatocytes, its soft tissue cells, from the action of toxins;
  • Joint diseases. For gout – promotes the elimination of uric acid salts (urates), helping the kidneys cope with its excess. For arthritis (polyarthritis), both infectious and autoimmune, it acts on joints as a decongestant and relieves pain;
  • Gynecological diseases. Helps inhibit the processes of spontaneous mitosis (division of atypical cells) in fibroids, cysts, polyps and other neoplasms, and is used in gynecology as an antitumor agent. Thanks to its hormone-normalizing effect, it helps restore the menstrual cycle for women;
  • Diabetes. Has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the endocrine system. In type 2 diabetes, it helps eliminate insulin resistance and stimulates the production of insulin by the pancreas in case of incomplete insufficiency. Reduces the risk of complications;
  • Diseases of the genitourinary tract in men. Stimulates the production of male sex hormones - testosterone and androgen, protects against possible erectile dysfunction, increases ejaculate production, and is useful for prostatitis.

In addition, decoctions and infusions of the herb pol pala accelerate metabolic processes in general, therefore they are effective in combination with a diet for weight loss, help improve skin condition and are effective against acne, and are widely used in cosmetology to strengthen hair and nails.

Procurement of medicinal raw materials

Some gardeners and gardeners grow half-palu in their garden plots, which, of course, requires special patience and perseverance, as well as knowledge of agricultural technology.

The entire plant is used for medicinal purposes: roots, grass and seeds. Half of the fall comes to pharmacies in crushed form along with roots and seeds, which, by the way, can be sprouted if desired. During the summer, the grass is cut 2-3 times, when the plant reaches a height of at least 30 cm. The cut grass can be dried under canopies, in a ventilated room. The roots of the half-fallen plant (along with the grass) are collected in the fall, before frost sets in, since the crop does not tolerate sub-zero temperatures. It is recommended to dry the root at a temperature of 40 - 50 °C (thermal dryers), or in the open air, similar to drying grass. Medicinal raw materials are stored in linen bags or cardboard boxes. Shelf life - up to 3 years.

Contraindications

Over-the-counter medicinal plants are not poisonous. But incorrect use can always cause harm. A half-fallen plant can become dangerous in the wrong hands. Contraindications here include the risk of harming health through ignorance and negligence.

This medicinal plant helps remove calcium and sodium cations from the body. Their excess or deficiency has a bad effect on the functioning of cells. Under laboratory conditions, cells require a specific combination of these cations and potassium cations in the extracellular environment. Otherwise, their normal life activity is impossible. The dangerous properties and contraindications of woolly erva require careful attention to them.

It has contraindications during pregnancy and breastfeeding; it is not prescribed to children under 12 years of age. Use is possible only as prescribed by a doctor. Contraindication is individual intolerance.

Pol-pal is a herb that is difficult to combine with other diuretics that remove salts from the body. Erva woolly cannot be used if the stones exceed the diameter of the excretory ducts. If you have stones of this size in your body, half a stone can be a recipe for ending up in the hospital. Just 1 leaf of grass can cause great harm to health.

When removing stones, severe pain is possible due to their movement. To facilitate the process, you may need a hot bath, antispasmodics and painkillers.

Using this herbal remedy to remove stones from the body at home is very dangerous. There is no information about overdose, but if your doctor prohibits the use of this remedy, it is better to listen to him.

Side effects include allergic skin rashes, angioedema, and nausea. At the first symptoms, use should be discontinued.

It is also worth noting that products with half-palm are incompatible with saline diuretics, which increase the excretion of potassium ions. The plant has a negative effect on the enamel, softening it, so infusions and decoctions should be drunk through a straw and then rinsed with mouth.

Due to their powerful healing effects, many herbs are in demand in folk and traditional medicine. The names of some of them are familiar to us from childhood, others can only be learned about when faced with an unpleasant disease. For example, few people have heard about such a medicinal herb as pol-pal (botanical name - woolly erva), its beneficial and harmful properties, indications and contraindications for use. But this medicinal plant is so effective in treating certain health problems that it has only recently begun to be grown on an industrial scale.

Having a complex effect on the nervous, urinary and digestive systems, half-palm has a positive effect on the three main aspects of weight loss. This drink helps normalize the body’s functioning, improve the quality of sleep and remove excess water and salt from the body.

It is important to remember that, no matter how wonderful a remedy is to help you achieve a slim figure, first of all, you should consult a doctor and nutritionist to find out whether this remedy is suitable or not.
How to choose a good product

Pol-pala mainly grows in warm climates, so it is very difficult to grow it in Russia, since you will have to carefully care for it. Initially, the grass was imported from Ceylon, but later it began to be grown in Saudi Arabia, Africa, India, the Caucasus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. A much easier way is to purchase the herb at the pharmacy. On sale you can find packages of 30 and 50 g. Considering that the healing properties of dried pol-pala have a fairly long shelf life, the package will last for a long time.
