Today there are many anti-cold medications, so how does Coldact flu plus Ranbaxy (Indian manufacturer Ranbaxy) differ from the rest? First of all, it should be noted that this is a multicomponent drug. The composition of Coldact flu plus includes three substances that are completely different in action.

Secondly, the tablets are sold in pharmacies without a prescription, but despite this, they must be recommended by a doctor. Frequent side effects of Coldact flu plus and contraindications make you think about the advantages and disadvantages of using the drug.

Thirdly, Koldakt is strictly contraindicated during pregnancy and children under 6 years of age; it also cannot be combined with many drugs or used for certain diseases. The pharmacist or pharmacist must warn about this when he dispenses the product.

Fourthly, Koldakt differs from other cold remedies in its wide choice of forms for use.

Release forms. What to choose

Let's start with the fact that Koldakt packaging can be bought at almost any pharmacy. But the variety of forms in which the drug is produced can confuse the buyer who does not know which one to choose. The following release forms are available:

  • long-acting capsules
  • powder for preparing solution
  • pills
  • suspension

These are fundamentally different forms that require different dosages and can sometimes even have different effects on the body. Let's look at them separately.

>>We recommend: if you are interested in effective methods of getting rid of chronic runny nose, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis and persistent colds, then be sure to check out this site page after reading this article. The information is based on the author’s personal experience and has helped many people, we hope it will help you too. Now let's return to the article.<<

Coldact flu plus capsules

Each capsule of Coldact flu plus contains 8 mg of chlorphenamine maleate, 200 mg of paracetamol and 25 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride.

In addition to the active ingredients, the capsules also necessarily contain auxiliary ones, which have nothing to do with the treatment, but are needed for the manufacture of this form. These are talc, ethylcellulose, sodium disulfite, various dyes, sucrose, starch, etc. Often allergic reactions occur to them.

A person buying Koldakt must familiarize himself with the composition of the drug and exclude the possibility of an allergic reaction to its components before using the product.

The uniqueness of the capsules lies in the fact that each of them contains a certain amount of microgranules. Each granule dissolves in the intestinal tract gradually, and the effect of the product can therefore be extended up to 24 hours. The rate of drug release is not affected in any way by the environment or gastrointestinal contractions. Thus, you can forget about cold symptoms for the whole day by taking just one capsule. The price of the drug at such a consumption is absolutely justified and even economical (one blister is enough for 10 days).

Suspension

The suspension begins to act only half an hour after administration for acute respiratory infections. Its effect continues for another 4 hours, and then the drug is completely eliminated from the body in the urine. Accordingly, the amount of active ingredients in this form of Coldact flu plus is almost half as much as in capsules, and the frequency of use increases to 3-4 times a day. If a person is allergic to any component of the capsules, then they can easily be replaced with a suspension; in addition, for children over 6 years old, capsules are unlikely to be suitable for oral administration, but liquid is easy. Koldakt suspension, the price of which is cheaper than capsules, is not at all economical, since one jar (60 ml) lasts only 2 days.

Powder and tablets

Convenient for use by adults, cheaper than capsules, and therefore available to a wide range of users. The only drawback is the number of tablets consumed per day (up to 12 pieces). The powder is good for children who do not like to take pills. The contents of the sachet can be diluted with a sweet drink or milk.

The action of Koldakt consists of three effects of its components: antipyretic, vasoconstrictor and antiallergic. Since its composition includes paracetamol, phenylephrine and chlorphenamine, the effect of the drug is as follows.
