Montenegro sandy beach is better with children. Sandy beaches of Montenegro

Every person wants to relax in a place where he will feel comfortable and calm. Where he can escape from the bustle of the city, relax his soul and body. The beaches of Montenegro presented below meet all these requirements. Some of them are suitable for married couples, while others are suitable for those who love active recreation and seek to explore new lands and sensations. So, let's look at the best beaches in Montenegro.

The best beaches in Montenegro

1. Sveti Stefan Beach

Sveti Stefan is famous for being the only city-hotel in the world. One side of the island is closed to tourists, but the other offers small houses, converted into a luxury hotel. Interesting fact: many years ago there was a prison here, but now it is a popular resort attracting many celebrities.

There are two beaches on the island, one is free, and all excursion ships come here. The second beach is on the other side of the island. Everyone who wants to visit it will have to pay not only for entrance, but also for a table, sun lounger, and umbrella. The advantage of this resort is the small number of vacationers, so it is a fairly calm and quiet place.

Since Sveti Stefan is a tourist island, the infrastructure is developed on high level. Here you can splash in the sea, go to a restaurant, cafe or bar, scuba dive, stroll through flowering parks and groves, go to souvenir shop and buy a couple of trinkets as souvenirs.

2. Yaz

Jaz is one of the largest and best sandy beaches in Montenegro. It is located near the city of Budva. The wide coastline allows accommodation for many vacationers. The gentle slope into the water makes Jaz beach an excellent place for families with children.

In addition to the paid section, this beach also has a free one, where you don’t have to pay for sun loungers and umbrellas. The addition of a beautiful, tranquil place is a fresh water shower. Just like on any other beach, vacationers can rent kayaks, catamarans, jet skis, and visit a couple of restaurants and cafes. Anyone who comes with their own car does not have to worry about its safety, since paid parking with security is provided on Yaz.

3. Beach on the island of Sveti Nikola

The island of Sveti Nikola is uninhabited. Apart from a few excellent beaches, where many holidaymakers flock during the season, there is nothing here. This is real paradise, where there is no hustle and bustle of busy cities. The entire island is surrounded by evergreens. Many are fascinated by the indescribable beauty of the landscape, small coves and secluded places with lagoons. You should know that part of the island is reserved for a nudist beach.

Sveti Nikola has both a paid and free beach, with sun loungers and umbrellas. The infrastructure here is also well developed:

  • showers, changing rooms and toilets;
  • umbrellas, sun loungers, tables;
  • equipped pier;
  • rescue team.

4. Royal Beach of Budva

On the list best beaches The Royal Beach of Budva occupies a special place in Montenegro. This is a relatively small piece of paradise on the shores of the lagoon. Previously, representatives of the royal dynasty vacationed here, but now it is available to politicians and ordinary vacationers. However, if the deputies wanted to relax, the rest of those who want to bask in the sun will not be able to carry out their plans.

Unlike other beaches, Royal is more refined: clean shore and water, privacy, green spaces, parking and all the necessary infrastructure, which justifies the high cost of a holiday on the beach - from 50 euros.

5. Mogren

Mogren is one of the best beaches in Budva. It is divided into two parts by a rock in which a passage has been cut and one beach to another. The main advantages of Mogren beach are crystal pure water and picturesque nature. But unfortunately, there is also negative traits beach - a large influx of people (you will have to make room or take up space early in the morning) and a rather high price.

As in other places, the presence of a rich infrastructure justifies the cost of entry and the services provided:

  • comfortable shower rooms, changing cabins, toilets;
  • umbrellas, sun loungers;
  • rental of hoverboards, catamarans;
  • parasailing, wakeboarding;
  • cafe;
  • massage parlor;
  • rescue team.

A flat descent to the water allows children to reach the sea on their own, but swimming is only possible in shallow water and with their parents, since the depth near the shore increases quickly.

6. Kamenovo Beach

Kamenovo is a relatively small sandy beach in Montenegro with a gentle slope into the water. Located near the village of Rafailovichi. This is an interesting, cozy place with tall green spaces, clear sea and excellent service. Vacationers have at their disposal: fresh water showers, changing cabins and toilets. Sun loungers, umbrellas and tables are also available for rent. In summer, cafes and restaurants are open. There are many people who want to visit Kamenovo beach, but there will always be free places.

7. Sutomore

Sutomore is the cleanest Montenegrin beach with golden sand and a length of more than a kilometer. Thanks to the cypress and pine trees planted around the shore, the winds bypass the beach. There are hotels and restaurants on the beach. Vacationers have the opportunity to go swimming or diving. They haven’t forgotten about traditional beach activities: rides on catamarans, water scooters, “tablets,” and games in the sand. In the immediate vicinity of the shore there are hotels, cafes, restaurants, shops, spa salons and other infrastructure facilities.

The main advantage of Sutomore over other beaches in Montenegro is the ban on the movement of vehicles in the resort area during the swimming season. The addition will be lagoons, forests and rocks that will immerse everyone who walks through these picturesque places.

8. Chan

The small resort village of Canj has two beaches: Queen's Beach and Pearl Beach. The first one cannot be reached by land, as it is surrounded by rocks. The second one is the most beautiful beach, so named because of the white pebbles that resemble pearls.

“Pearl Beach” is equipped quite well. It has special fenced areas where children can swim. It is also surrounded by cypress, eucalyptus, and pine trees. They not only protect from the hot sun, but also release beneficial essential oils, making your vacation useful and enjoyable.

It is worth noting that the resort village is not deprived of a wide range of hotels, inns, private houses, villas and other places for accommodation.

9. Trsteno

Trsteno is one of the most picturesque beaches Montenegrin coast. It is located near Budva. Vacationers here will enjoy clean sand, water and beach cafes with delicious dishes. You can also rent sun loungers with umbrellas for a small price, swim with fins and a mask near the rocks and watch the colorful fish. This a good place for couples with small children, as it is not deep here.

Trsteno Beach attracts many vacationers, so if you come here on the weekend you may not find a free place.

10. Becici Beach

Becici is a two-kilometer beach with a clean shore, fresh air, small pebbles and a gentle slope to the sea. This beach in Montenegro is located 3 km from Budva and is perfect for families with children.

The well-functioning infrastructure of Becici will appeal to every vacationer. There is everything you need here: entertainment for children, restaurants, cafes, hotels, shops.

The advantage of Becici is its equipped places for married couples and for ardent extreme sports enthusiasts. Everyone will find what they are looking for. You will have a fun, comfortable and unforgettable holiday.

In this article, we tried to tell you about how different resorts in Montenegro differ, which resorts we considered the best, and which ones we are not ready to advise you.

Budva is the most popular resort in Montenegro

Budva is not a very good option for shopping. They mainly sell things from Turkey and China. But there is something to see in the city. I would like to highlight it with its medieval streets, cozy restaurants, a chic fortress, the bastion of which you can even climb (for a fee) and a marina.

Well, it’s absolutely impossible not to remember about, the road to which we remember especially well.

Herceg Novi is the greenest and most comfortable city in Montenegro

Sveti Stefan Island - a resort closed to visitors

In terms of beaches, Bar is a fairly ordinary resort, there is nothing special here, the beaches are even slightly worse than the national average.

But here you can see the ruins of the old city - very beautiful and unusual.

Ulcinj – if sandy beaches are important to you

- the southernmost city of Montenegro, almost on the border with. The city is famous for its excellent sandy beaches and a huge number of sunny days per year. Please note that the beaches here will be a bit hot. The beach season here lasts for half a year - from April to November.

The beaches of Ulcinj are covered with basalt sand, which is considered very beneficial for the musculoskeletal system. Gorgeous olive groves grow around the city. There are also disadvantages - the mountains are almost invisible.

When visiting Montenegro for the first time, as well as any other resort abroad, the question arises of how not to make a mistake when choosing a place to holiday with children and where to stay.

In terms of accommodation in Budva (the most expensive resort) during the peak season, even the simplest accommodation by the sea (in the form of one-room apartments, a small studio, a guesthouse room) will cost a lot if it is not taken care of in advance.

But this resort is most often recommended for beginners, explaining this choice with very convincing arguments: close to the airport (20 minutes by car), developed infrastructure (shops, medical offices, post office, discos, etc.), excellent beaches, the presence of a historical center with many attractions.

But there are also significant disadvantages - a lot of vacationers, noisy, not the cleanest sea. The resort with nightlife, bars, discos and clubs is more aimed at middle-aged tourists and party-going youth.

The picturesque and quiet town of Sveti Stefan (from Budva by bus can be reached in about 20 minutes), the moderately lively and fairly calm town of Petrovac (an hour's drive from Tivat airport), Becici, Rafailovici, Ulcinj are much more suitable.

Beach holidays with children in Montenegro

Montenegrin beaches are very different: sandy, rocky, covered with pebbles (small and large), with slabs and stones. There are more than a hundred of them in a small area. There are hotel beaches and municipal ones.

Most of the beaches are pebble, while sand makes up about 1/3 of the entire beach area. There is a natural large sandy beach in Ulcinj, sandy embankments - near the island-hotel Sveti Stefan, in Milocer, Becici and in some other places. What they have in common is that they are always clean.

For cleanliness and the best ecology, the Montenegrin beaches of Budva, Bar, Tivat, Herceg Novi, Ulcinj are marked with Blue Flags, because there is nothing nearby that would pollute the environment.

The coastal part of Montenegro is conventionally divided into three regions: Budva Riviera, Ulcinj Riviera and the resorts of the Bay of Kotor.

Budva Riviera

Budva Riviera with the resorts of Budva, Bar, Sveti Stefan, Milocer, Becici, Petrovac, Sutomore and Rafailovici, in which it is located greatest number beaches - the most popular and sought-after region among tourists.

The beaches here are predominantly pebbly and sandy and vary in color due to the different minerals they contain. There are also rocky ones with rocky areas among them.

Budva, with its abundance of daytime and nightlife entertainment (it’s not for nothing that it’s called the “Miami of Montenegro”), is considered the country’s tourist center and ideal place for active recreation. This is where most holidaymakers head. Families with children may find this resort somewhat noisy (although this also depends on the chosen area of the city for living).

There are several beaches within the city limits of the crowded resort. This is the most crowded and popular Mogren beach during the season, divided into two zones by a picturesque cliff with pebble and sandy areas with golden sand, which are connected by an underground passage, and the “Slavic Beach”, which occupies almost the entire city coast.

Family tourists can take a closer look at Guvance Beach, located on the southern outskirts of Budva on the way to Becici. Although it is considered relatively remote from the center, the beach leads in the amount of sun during the day, is considered the sunniest and is famous for its beautiful sunsets.

Kids will certainly enjoy the soft sand and comfortable entrance to the sea, the emerald vegetation on the shore, and the warm and clear water. The beach is miniature - its length is only about 150 meters. Getting to it is not difficult: you can reach it by walking, or you can take the wonderful mini-train that runs around Budva.

The Becici resort, located next to the crowded Budva (4 kilometers), is a real beach paradise. There are always a lot of people who want to relax here. Even the worst ones don’t scare away tourists low prices for living in apartments (although, of course, they are more democratic than in Budva itself).

Families with children are attracted by the secluded location, the proximity of Tivat airport (13 km) and the best beach in the country, covered with small pebbles and golden soft sand, almost 2 kilometers long. There are no piers here, so there is no danger from boats constantly scurrying back and forth.

Not far from Becici (1.5 km) is the village of Rafailovici (10 minutes from Budva) with stunning nature, turquoise sea and Kamenovo beach, located in a sunny bay. It is covered with small and soft White sand and pebbles.

The uncrowded, spacious Jaz beach in the vicinity of Budva (located in the village of the same name) is quite popular among tourists. It is a coastal kilometer-long strip of pure sand, gradually turning into small pebbles, and then (closer to Budva) large pebbles, stones and a rocky coast begin.

The beach is quite long and along it there are large quantities private boarding houses, hotels, campsites and guesthouses. Visually it is divided into a recreation area for nudists and an area for everyone else. Convenient for those who come on vacation by car.

Between the beaches of Jaz and Ploce there is a sandy shallow beach called Trsteno, convenient for swimming with children. The beach is small, the sand is fine as flour, but the water is clean. Smooth and gentle entry into the water. Located in a closed cozy bay. Tourists travel from Budva by bus. The disadvantage is that it is not very well equipped.

Ploce Beach is the farthest from Budva (20 minutes by bus). Located on a peninsula with access to the open sea. The coastline is mainly represented by slab terraces sloping down to the water. There is no sand at all, there is a small area with pebbles.

The entrance to the sea swimming areas is conveniently organized along special stone steps or stairs. The sea bottom is pebbly. The water is crystal clear, there is a beautiful coastal landscape with exotic plants (for example, you can find cacti on it). For small children there are shallow pools and playgrounds on the beach.

The beaches of Sveti Stefan and Milocer are expensive and prestigious holiday destinations. If the budget allows, they can undoubtedly be classified as resorts ideal for family vacation in Montenegro.

Sveti Stefan is a picturesque village, which is most often depicted on postcards with views of Montenegro, with pristine beaches located on both sides of the narrow isthmus connecting the coast with the hotel island, covered with small pebbles and pinkish-red sand, and a gently sloping entrance.

The resort can be conditionally divided into the island of Sveti Stefan, on which luxury hotels are actually concentrated, built on the territory of buildings of the medieval period, and the village itself - a small fishing village connected by an artificial sand spit to the island, where you can find apartments, villas, and a hotel according to your budget .

The resort village of Milocer (6 km from Budva) is famous for its magnificent beaches, beautiful villas, tall pine trees and a park. Near the island of Sveti Stefan there is a small “Queen’s Beach” and nearby another sandy beach “Milocer” (also called “King’s Beach”).

With children you can live in a quieter place nearby - in Petrovac. Cozy, quiet Petrovac without noisy night entertainment is located in a calm, picturesque place (17 km from Budva) with a mild climate, with hills covered with pine trees and olive groves, with clear water in the sea, with rocky islands with a miniature chapel visible in the distance.

The beaches of this resort (there are two of them - the main one, stretching for 2 km with a charming promenade, and at some distance the Lucice beach) are covered with small pebbles and reddish sand. There is a good entrance to the sea, but almost immediately (after 4-5 meters) the depth begins.

Lucice beach is more picturesque, with a more convenient entrance and very small, sand-like pebbles (on the main beach in some areas there are huge stones when entering the water). On the Lucice beach there is a water slide for children with sea water with a small pool carved into the stone. A little further (you can walk) is the Buryalitsa beach.

In Petrovac, families with children like to stay in apartments (if you book them in advance, they are inexpensive). This resort is often recommended for holidays with children in Montenegro also because it has a cozy and calm atmosphere, but not boring. A beautiful bay, rocky grottoes with secluded swimming areas, medieval castle, an ancient fortress, once built by the Venetians to intimidate sea pirates, a stunning pine grove - all this makes Petrovac a tempting place to relax with a child.

The resort of Bar also has good pebble beaches. But in the city itself, due to the busy water traffic (boats, regular boats, and yachts are constantly cruising), swimming is not very comfortable. It is much more pleasant to do this in neighboring towns on sand and pebble beaches, which can be reached from Bar in a quarter of an hour.

Beach "Biserna obala" ("Pearl Coast") with fine sand with a pearlescent tint is located in the town of Canj, just north of Bar. This is one of the famous beaches in Montenegro.

The beach “Zlatna Obala” (“Golden Coast”) with golden sand and alluviums of small pebbles (analogous to the Bulgarian “Golden Sands”) belongs to the hotel. It is located in one bay next to the city beach in Sutomore, protected from the winds by pine and cypress trees on the mainland side.

Lost in a tiny cove between Bar and Sutomore is the secluded, small, picturesque “Red Beach”. It got its name because of the sand and pebbles of a reddish hue covering it (a mixture of sand with crushed corals). This is a convenient place to relax with children. It is not crowded here, it is almost always warm and calm.

Among the disadvantages is that it is located at a remote distance from Bar and getting there (if not by car) is inconvenient. Large sharp boulders also make it difficult to enter the water. Meet and sea urchins(although they are found all over the coast).

Between Sutomore and the Chan backwater near the Black Cape there is Malevik beach, mostly pebble, rocky in places with large stones in the water (you can’t swim without slippers). Of course, it is not very suitable for children. But the water here is unusually clean, and in the heat you can hide in the shade of nearby pine trees.

In the town of Uteha on the way from Bar to Ulcinj there are also several small sandy beaches.

Beaches of the Ulcinj Riviera

The Ulcinj Riviera, represented by a single city - Ulcinj - is another region of Montenegro, famous for its sandy beaches.

The resort of Ulcinj with turquoise water in the bay and famous beaches with gray basalt sand is located in the very south of Montenegro. This resort is quite crowded, but not as crowded as in popular tourist places. It is also famous for its ecology.

Velika Plaža Beach (Big Beach) stretches along the coast with a 13-kilometer strip of sand, along which many hotels are located. It seems to have been created especially for children: shallow sea, magnificent landscapes, healing tiny sand enriched with minerals, a gentle entrance into the water with gradually increasing depth. The disadvantage is the proximity to the port.

The city's Small Beach is located as if inside the city itself. Local restaurants and cafes, shops and discos are concentrated here.

Near Ulcinj there is Tropicana Beach, equipped with a children's amusement park and water attractions.

A beach with healing coral and fine shell sand, extremely soft to the touch, Ada Boyana Island is a continuation of the Big Beach, from which it is separated by a river. Nudists and surfers like to relax here on the island-reserve.

Resorts and beaches of the Bay of Kotor

The resorts of the Bay of Kotor, in addition to Kotor, include Tivat, Perast, Koštanica, Risan, Herceg Novi.

The peculiarity of this region is that in the Bay of Kotor, which cuts into the coast for 30 kilometers, there are no strong sea waves, high waves and storms, or dangerous strong currents, which makes swimming in the sea safe even for children. The water in the bay is warmer. But the climate is also quite hot.

In Kotor itself, the beaches are city, where swimming with children is not entirely comfortable (the sea is not so clean, there are stones and rocks). And in general this expensive city is not the best place in Montenegro for beach holiday with kids. But Kotor is an old town with a lot of interesting details, secrets and mysteries, where you can introduce children to ancient history this region.

The beaches of the Hercegnovskaya Riviera are mostly rocky, which is not so comfortable for swimming, but they are more picturesque. It must also be taken into account that rocky beaches often favored by sea urchins. However, in the Bay of Kotor there are also sand and pebble beaches, especially in the vicinity of Herceg Novi and Tivat.

Beaches of Tivat: Donja Lastva, Cape Seljanovo, Stara Racica, Kamelia - these are small equipped city beaches with concrete slabs and sandy areas. On the “Island of Flowers” (2 km from Tivat) there are sandy beaches.

The small sandy beach of Plavi Horizonti in the Przno Valley (12 km from Tivat at the Blue Horizon Hotel), located in a calm, quiet bay, where the warmest days in Montenegro are all year round, is good for children. Healing fine sand, shallow waters, clean water, green olive and pine groves - all this attracts families with children here.

Nearby is the beach in the town of Oblatno at the Almara Beach Club hotel with comfortable umbrellas and sun loungers, a landscaped park, and club parties.

Herceg Novi is a popular and lively resort in Montenegro, but less noisy and cheaper than Budva or Tivat. Suitable for families with children, although the beaches at this resort cannot be called the best. Very often these are concrete slabs, and you need to get to sandy beaches by boat, for example, on the protected Lustica peninsula.

From Herceg Novi you can take a boat to the beach in the uncrowded, beautiful and cozy town of Rose. Actually, there are no beaches here as such: vacationers sunbathe on the embankment.

The beaches of Zhanica and Mirista, located on the shore, are pebble, which differ from most beaches in Montenegro in that they go straight out into the open sea. From them you can admire a wonderful view of the fortress on the island of Maiula. You can get here from Herceg Novi by boat for a small fee.

Montenegro attracts with its pristine beaches and many resort towns for different tastes and budgets. And not only that. The beauty of this country lies in its numerous bays and bays, regal mountains, amazing nature, medieval architecture, historical monuments and a unique culture.

We’ll talk more about what to see and where to visit with children in Montenegro next time. Until then...

Montenegro is a very beautiful country with beautiful nature, clean Adriatic Sea. It is not surprising that more and more tourists come here every year. If we talk about its resorts, then there is a place for every budget. You can relax on a very budget, without feeling deprived, or you can have a blast by choosing a highly comfortable hotel with all kinds of additional services and SPA programs. Being in Montenegro, in fact, these are just little things, the main thing is that you will be able to appreciate the whole flavor of this beautiful country, the hospitality of the local people, try the local cuisine, enjoy the pristine nature, mountains, lakes.

So, the most popular coast among tourists is Budva; there are many resorts here that have serious differences from each other. Before you go here on vacation, you need to understand what you primarily expect from your vacation, what kind of beaches you want to see: sandy or pebble. How much are you willing to pay for your hotel or apartment?

The Budva coast includes such resorts as: Budva, Becici and Rafailovici, Przno, Sveti Stefan, Milocer, Petrovac, Sutomore, Bar, Ulcinj.

Budva- the most popular place among tourists, this town attracts such a large number of guests primarily because pricing policy. There is a lot of inexpensive housing here, including hotels and apartments. Even in the highest season in Budva you can find a place to stay, and at a very economical price. Also, there is a widely developed infrastructure and excellent opportunities for active youth recreation. There are nightclubs, restaurants, shops, bars. With the onset of darkness, the city begins to become completely holy, music plays everywhere, of course, you shouldn’t compare Budva with Ibiza, the scale here is not the same, but nevertheless there is where to have fun and dance. Budva also has excellent opportunities for tennis, diving and paragliding.

The beaches here are pebble mixed with sand. The big disadvantage of this resort is the large number of vacationers. In the summer, there may be a problem with finding a free piece to lay out a towel. Therefore, you will have to get up earlier than you would like.

This resort is ideal active tourists those who want to explore the country on their own by renting a car, as well as for young people. For families with children and elderly people, Budva is not the best place to relax; it is better to find something quieter.

Becici and Rafailovici- two resorts located next to each other. An excellent option for families with children and elderly people. There is no longer as much activity here as in Budva. A large number of hotels gives tourists a choice of where to stay. Here is one of the expensive hotels Splendid 5*, there is also a hotel with its own slides, and the famous Iberostar Bellevue 4* hotel with a large territory, offering its guests all-inclusive meals, which is very rare for Montenegro. The beaches in Becici and Rafailovici are golden, small-pebble. Also a big plus of this place is that all the hotels are located near the sea, but I would like to note that vacationing here is not entirely economical. In summer, the cost of a trip for two for 14 nights/15 days will be from 70,000 rubles in best case scenario. There are not many apartments in this place, they are all located on a hill, so the road to the sea will not be very comfortable, going up and down every day will not be very convenient.

For those who like to combine a quiet and relaxing holiday with an active one, this place is perfect due to the fact that you can walk to Budva on your own along the seaside boulevard, the journey will not take 20 minutes, and in the summer there is also a tourist train running here that will help you get there to the city center is much faster.

Becici/Rafailovici

Pržno- this place was once a fishing village and there were no prospects for tourism to be developed here. Today, Przno, although a tiny place to relax, attracts a large number of tourists. The reason is complete solitude with nature, absence of noise, large hotels and cars. Elderly people who want to relax in a quiet and relaxed environment should come here on holiday. It is possible that families with children may get a little bored here. Since the tourist infrastructure in this place is very small, in the evening the town dies out, only a couple of supermarkets are open.

Saint Stephen- a place where a huge number of tourists come, it is attractive because there is an island hotel located here. Where world celebrities often stay: Sophia Loren, Sylvester Stallone and others. It is not economical to relax in Sveti Stefan itself; the resort is considered respectable, but it is absolutely not big. There are two beaches, paid and free. On a paid basis, to be accommodated you need to pay 50 euros per place. If you want to stay here, but you don’t have such funds, you can rent an apartment for yourself; a day will cost 50-80 euros. The only nuance of this place is that it is very vertical. Therefore, the question arises how convenient it will be for older people and families with small children. The place is absolutely not suitable for young people - it will be very boring. In my opinion, St. Stephen is only suitable for visiting from an educational point of view.

Saint Stephen

Milocer- a neighbor of St. Stephen, there is only one hotel here, the prices for accommodation in it are very high. Not every tourist can afford this. Milocher has a gorgeous park where a large number of coniferous trees and rare species plants. Also, this place is famous for its royal beach with fine sand. It is worth coming here, as well as to Sveti Stefan, for excursion purposes; it is very expensive to stay and it will also be very boring.

Petrovac- a small, very colorful village. I would single it out from everyone on the Budva coast. Here, like nowhere else, you feel that you are in Montenegro. A beautiful embankment with a lot of tourist infrastructure, good beaches with fine pebble sand cannot but attract tourists here. Also, in Petrovac there is an old town where colorful lighting is turned on in the evening. The town is in great demand among tourists, but it is far from budget. The average cost of apartments during the season starts from 50 euros and above. Hotel prices are high. Petrovac is suitable for all categories of tourists, an excellent place for families with children, for the elderly, and for active youth.

Petrovac

Sutomore- a resort somewhat deprived of natural beauty, but it has long and wide beaches, both sandy and sandy-pebble. The hotel base of this place is somewhat outdated, but there is a wide choice of apartments. The advantage of the resort is its prices; a night in high season will cost from 30 euros. Sutomore has a well-developed infrastructure, there is an active nightlife for young people, an amusement park for children, and a wonderful promenade where most tourists take a walk in the evening. Overall, I think that this resort is somewhat underrated, Russian market few people know him.

Sutomore

Bar- a large industrial and residential city. You can visit it for excursion purposes, but it’s definitely not worth relaxing here.

Ulcinj- the southernmost village, located on the border with Albania, known for its long sandy beaches with a shallow entry into the sea. The public who choose this resort for their holidays are Albanians, a very specific people. Comes on vacation large families. I would not recommend a holiday in this place, because being in Ulcinj there is no feeling that this is Montenegro. Very poor vegetation, high humidity, other than visiting the Great Beach, there is nothing else to do here. A trip of one day maximum.

Ulcinj (Great Beach)

So in Montenegro there is another coast - the Hercegnovskaya Riviera. In my opinion, it is the richest in nature, but for the most part, swimming in the sea is only possible through concrete decks or down the stairs. I would like to highlight such places as: Kotor, Perast and Risan - unique, incredibly beautiful villages, mostly foreigners vacation here, the Russian public rarely visits these places, which is a pity.

The most popular place on this coast Herceg Novi. Tours here are expensive, the hotel base is very large and varied, but even a stay in a simple hotel will not be very economical. This place is called the birthplace of artists and poets; many paintings and poems were written here. To understand why, it’s worth visiting Herceg Novi at least once. It is very beautiful and green here, you will constantly feel a great desire to capture everything you see on camera.

The beaches here are pebbly or the entrance to the water is from the pier. A completely different crowd vacations in Herceg Novi, many families with children and elderly people. The undoubted advantage of this place is its proximity to Dubrovnik and the presence of the Igalo health and wellness center.

One of the main riches of Montenegro are its beaches. And although not all of them can boast of a sandy surface, many are pebbled, tourists will still have room to turn around. Just imagine, the resort coast of the Adriatic stretches for more than 73 km along the sea. Therefore, any vacationer will be able to find here excellent and individual conditions for spending a vacation, sunbathing, and swimming. Today we will talk about the sandy beaches of Montenegro, we will try to find out where the most Better conditions for families with children, and we will also determine the time frame for the beach season in this amazing country.

Let's start by reviewing a few interesting facts, which are capable of arousing true interest in the resort coast among potential tourists. Thus, despite the low average air temperature - about 27 degrees - at the height of the beach season, tourists will be able to experience true pleasure by swimming in clean water, which warms up to very comfortable temperatures.

Just imagine, the clarity of the water can make you dizzy! After all, vacationers will be able to see in great detail the features of the seabed and marine inhabitants down to a depth of 40-50 meters!

For the cleanliness of the water, the well-groomed beaches and the amazing nature around, many of the beaches of Montenegro have been deservedly awarded Blue Flags. These are famous and popular resorts among Russians and tourists from other parts of the planet - Budva, Tivat, Riviera, Bar and others. In many ways, such purity and pristine nature is facilitated by the distance from industrial enterprises and large cities.

It's time to talk about resorts that are famous for their sandy beaches. It is not difficult to guess that many of them are perfect for tourists who prefer to relax in the company of small children. After all, the legs of young tourists react extremely painfully to hot pebbles and sharp rocky ledges.

Most of the coast of this Montenegrin resort is covered with sand and small pebbles. But there are also those where rocky ledges dominate. It is worth noting that the Riviera has several beaches that are popular among tourists. Thus, one of the most beautiful sections of the coast is Lucice Beach, where every tourist can not only have a good rest, but also take very enviable photographs.

If you love the sun and cannot imagine a holiday without sunbathing, feel free to go to the sunniest part of the coast - Guvantse. Among the advantages of this beach it is worth highlighting: a gentle entrance to the sea, compactness (the length of the section is only 145 meters), convenient location, which allows tourists from different parts of Montenegro to get here by boat. in a suitable form transport. In addition, you almost never see crowds of vacationers here, as happens on other beaches.

The coast is equipped with everything necessary to ensure a comfortable and safe holiday - a rescue point, changing cabins, sun loungers with umbrellas (for a fee), a small cafe-bar. Guvance is especially popular among romantics who come from all over the world to admire the famous Adriatic sunsets.

Guvantse is more suitable for those who like a relaxing holiday, as well as for married couples with children. Kids will be delighted by the soft sand and gentle slope into the water; they will be happy to study marine vegetation and chase numerous fish. But lovers of night parties have nothing to do here.

Yaz

Just 3 km from Budva, tourists can find an equally attractive sandy beach. This piece of coastal land is famous not only for its natural sand (almost the only place in Montenegro that has always been covered with sand), but also for the fact that it was here that huge concerts of the Rolling Stones and Madonna took place.

Let's start with the shortcomings. Getting here with your own transport is very difficult. It is better to abandon this idea and use the services of carriers, taxi drivers, and buses. In addition, tourists will have to pay for the opportunity to soak up the sun on a sun lounger, sun lounger and umbrella (rental prices start from 10 euros). And at the height of the swimming season, you will have to pay to enter the beach.

But tourists will be able to use toilet stalls, change clothes in specially designated places, rent a jet ski or motorboat, have a snack right on the beach in one of the restaurants, or opt for fast food from nearby stalls. But the most important advantage of Yaz is that music concerts and other events are regularly held on its coast.

Although good conditions have been created for children here, young people will still enjoy holidays in this part of Montenegro more.

The sand and pebble coast of Bar also attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world every year. Just look at the Red Beach, which got its name due to the original reddish hue of the sand. This color is given to it by particles of coral, which over the course of many centuries have been washed ashore by sea waves.

Red Beach is located in a picturesque bay, which allows it to maintain its individual microclimate, despite weather changes in Bar. The recreational coast is small and amounts to about 600 sq.m. For those looking for a place to relax with children, there are several interesting points. Firstly, the sandy surface itself, which makes rest comfortable, allows you to sunbathe right on the sand and is the main entertainment for kids. Secondly, it is a gentle descent into the sea, which will allow parents not to worry about their children and constantly monitor their bathing procedures. And, thirdly, sunbathing in the first half of the day will be very helpful for the delicate skin of children.

It is worth noting that beach visitors are served by one cozy cafe, which is open only during the swimming season. For sunbeds and optional equipment you will have to pay extra.

One of the busiest resorts in Montenegro at the height of the beach season is Tivat. Almost its entire coastline combines picturesque landscapes, excellent swimming conditions, and a lot of entertainment. But the most important thing is the sandy cover, which is present along almost the entire length of the coast.

Just imagine. There are 17 municipal beaches in Tivat! In addition, the resort owns three islands, where tourists also like to spend time. Let's stop at the most famous beaches of Tivat.

So, one of the leaders in popularity is the Opatovo coast, which is only 3 km from the resort center. Length sandy shore for swimming and sunbathing is about 220 meters, all conditions have been created for comfortable rest, infrastructure is developed. You can have a snack in a cozy cafe, but you will have to pay extra for sun loungers and umbrellas. And if you're traveling by car, you'll certainly appreciate the availability of several campsites where you can set up a small camp.

Holidays with children will also be excellent here. Kids will be able to spend time in a warm and clear water, will create sand castle according to their own design, they will breathe air saturated with iodine and microelements.

Even closer to Tivat is the Donja Lastva beach, which stretches for almost 500 meters. Only part of the beach area is covered with sand, while the rest is covered with concrete slabs. And part of the coast belongs to the Camelia Hotel, where you can rent a room only by prior reservation.

However, the beach has everything a tourist needs to relax: umbrellas, sun loungers, sun loungers (rental prices are similar to prices at other resorts), changing rooms, toilets (kept clean and regularly cleaned). Experienced lifeguards monitor the safety of vacationers on the water. Diving enthusiasts are attracted by the nearby rocks. You can have a snack in cozy cafes, the menu of which mainly consists of national dishes.

One of the longest beaches in Tivat (occupies 1.7 km of coastline) is called Seljanovo. The sandy surface of the beach is framed by rocky patches, which gives this place a special respectability. In fact, the entire cape of the same name is reserved for the needs of vacationers who enjoy spending time alone with their thoughts, the sun and crystal clear water.

Vacationers can rent umbrellas, sun loungers, sun loungers and all the necessary beach equipment, ride on motor boats, hydrobikes, and rent a catamaran. The beach infrastructure is also very developed - toilets, changing rooms, showers, cafes and bars are available to vacationers. There is a parking lot where tourists and guests of the coast can leave their vehicles.

Good conditions for families with children. In addition to the standard set of advantages - clean water, sandy surface, gentle descent into the water - children will be able to frolic on the playground and try out the rides.

Other beaches of Tivat

There are other sandy beaches of Tivat that are worth visiting for guests of the country. Some of them impress with their well-groomed and compact size (for example, the Belane coast), while others are simply created for active holidays, entertainment and parties (Zupa).

If you love nature and prefer to combine relaxation on the beach with walks, we recommend paying attention to Oblatno beach, which is located near a wild forest, which makes this place unique and saturates the air with pleasant aromas, oils, and resins.

Well, for the title itself beautiful beach The Pržno Valley is ready to fight. In addition to the unusual color of the sand, this place is famous for its groves olive trees, pine forests and shallow sea, which will be appreciated by young tourists and their parents.
