The face is the most exposed area of our body, where any defects become noticeable, be it pimples, blackheads or increased fat content skin. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly cleanse your face. To do this, it is not necessary to go to a beauty salon, but can be done at home.

How to cleanse your face at home

The very first and the simplest way facial skin care, but at the same time the most important thing is daily cleansing with washing. We should wash our face twice a day - morning and evening.

As a rule, in the morning we wash ourselves with ordinary tap water at room temperature. For some this is normal and nothing side effects doesn't call. But in fact, washing with plain tap water does not have a very good effect on our skin, and for most it causes dryness, tightness, and sometimes even severe peeling. In this regard, it is ideally recommended to wash your face with boiled, mineral water or herbal decoctions.

Firstly, it is not entirely convenient, and secondly, not everyone can afford to wash their face with mineral water or bother with decoctions every morning.

Therefore, there is another proven method - frozen cubes of chamomile or green tea decoction. Its advantage is that these cubes can be prepared several days in advance, thus saving time. They perfectly tone the skin, do not cause peeling, and give it a healthy color.

Evening wash. Most women wear makeup every day, but even those who don’t use makeup need evening cleansing to remove dust and dirt that accumulates in their pores during the day. To do this, there are many different products, when choosing which you need to take into account your skin type, carefully study the composition of the product, and also be prepared to take risks, since it is not always possible to choose the ideal “wash” option the first time, and often our skin temporarily becomes a “testing ground” for testing." This is not very good, but it is often inevitable.

The most common means for cleansing the skin of the face include: cream and milk - they cleanse the face of dirt and makeup, while also moisturizing it. If you have dry skin, then this is what you need; foams and gels - gently cleanse pores without drying out the skin. If your skin is normal or dry, then preference should be given to foam, but if you have oily or combination skin, then gels are your option; tonics and lotions - their home equivalents are herbal decoctions or lemon juice. If you have oily skin, then it is better to use these products with alcohol, and if you have dry skin, then you need to choose a lotion or tonic without alcohol. After cleansing the skin, it is recommended to use a nourishing or moisturizing cream.

Steam baths

Steam baths are beneficial for all skin types. They cleanse the skin well, stimulate blood circulation and open clogged pores. For dry skin, take steam baths once a week. For very oily skin, they can be done daily. To create steam, there are special electrical devices; this process (steaming the face) is called a facial sauna.

Heat water in a large bowl and, leaning over it and covering your head with a towel, like a tent, sit over the dishes with hot water.

The steam opens the pores and makes it easier to remove blackheads. Do not lean too close to boiling water, as very hot steam can cause small blood vessels to rupture and cause burns. To enhance the healing effect of the procedure, you can add a tablespoon of dried plants. Long-known remedies for this are elderflower and chamomile, you can add lavender, thyme and rosemary to enhance the cleansing effect of the steam bath. These herbs flavor the steam.

Keep your face above the steam for 10-20 minutes. Steaming makes it easier to remove blackheads. At purulent acne Steam baths are not recommended, as heat and steam contribute to the spread of infection. After removing blackheads, make a mask containing cottage cheese, kaolin, cucumbers or comfrey. With extended blood vessels Steam baths are contraindicated for facial skin.

Massage method for facial cleansing at home

The massage method is cleansing the face with a scrub or exfoliation. One of the simplest, fastest and most popular ways to remove dead skin particles. In addition, in addition to cleansing, you also do self-massage of the face. Pre-moisten the skin, and then apply the scrub along the massage lines with massaging movements. If you have oily skin type, pay attention Special attention the so-called T-zone. If the skin is prone to dryness, do the procedure in a more gentle way, using stroking instead of massaging. Afterwards the scrub is washed off cold water.

Also, a cucumber mask helps a lot. Take a medium-sized cucumber, chop finely and apply the resulting pulp on your face. After 15 minutes, rinse off the mask with cool water.

If your skin feels flaky after cleansing, use a little more moisturizer than usual. Don't touch your face with your hands unless necessary. Use less powder and foundation so that the effect lasts longer after cleaning.

How to cleanse your face?

There are many types of DIY facial cleansing, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. To choose the right one among all the types, you need to know what each of them is. In addition, there are those that are easy to do yourself, and some are recommended only in beauty salons under the guidance of specialists. In addition, each procedure has its own characteristics, which also need to be taken into account when choosing.

Mechanical facial cleansing

It is considered one of the most common methods of skin cleansing. You can easily do it yourself. Before this procedure, the skin is first steamed to open the pores. Then, using your fingers or a professional spoon, which are pre-treated with alcohol, dirt and grease, acne and other painless rashes are removed by squeezing out. Then the treated areas are wiped with an antiseptic.

Many women like this method of tidying up their facial skin, giving it a healthy glow and firmness; it is available both in beauty salons and can be done independently. How the professionals do it, watch the video below and adopt their methods.

Manual facial cleansing

Facial cleansing at home using this method is most popular due to its ease. To carry it out you don’t need any tools other than your fingers. It doesn't require any special skills.

Before you start, you need to deeply steam the pores over a pan with a decoction of chamomile and mint. Then you need to dip cotton wool in hydrogen peroxide and wipe your face. Before doing this, you should treat your hands with an antiseptic. Fingers should be wrapped in a small layer of gauze, as this can cause infection.

The procedure itself is as follows: pressure is applied to each pimple or blackhead, displacing the contents to the surface. Then the face is treated with alcohol lotion. The best time To perform this manipulation, consider the second half of the last working day before the weekend, since after completion redness appears on the face. You need to give your skin a break by removing makeup for a while.

Ultrasonic cleaning

It can also be done at home, but you will have to purchase a special device for this. This method of cleansing the skin of impurities and acne is considered the safest. Ultrasound acts directly on the surface of the skin, which allows for cleansing manipulations regardless of its characteristics. Steaming is not required before this procedure. All you need to do is wipe your skin with a cleansing toner.

In order for facial cleansing at home using this method to be successful, it is advisable to lubricate the face with a special conductive gel or periodically spray it with mineral water. When cleaning the skin, it is necessary to treat the skin at an angle of 35-45 degrees. Then it is recommended to apply a nourishing and then restorative cream. They are selected according to the characteristics of the skin.

Microvibration created by an ultrasonic device provokes an increase in temperature in the desired area, which helps expand pores and remove dead skin particles. In addition, acne is eliminated without mechanical action, blood circulation is improved, the antiseptic properties of the skin are stabilized, the face is brightened, and its tone is increased. The impact of such ultrasound manipulation on each point should not exceed more than 7 minutes.

In fact, it is not at all that difficult to perform this procedure yourself. Of course, you will need all the necessary equipment and components of the procedure, but the result will definitely please you. In the video below you will see how easy it is to use an ultrasonic spatula at home.

It is very popular, because with its help you can cope with acne, smooth out wrinkles, tighten flabby, dry skin, restore its tone and elasticity. Before applying laser to your skin, you should not sunbathe for a couple of weeks. A couple of days before such manipulations, it is also not recommended to steam the skin. This procedure should not be performed by girls under 22-25 years of age, pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as those who have diabetes mellitus, herpes, acute infectious or inflammatory diseases, epilepsy.

Laser skin cleansing is performed in several stages: preparatory, processing and final. On preparatory stage Makeup is washed off, the skin is wiped with an antiseptic. This is followed by cleaning, when the laser is set to certain frequencies and the desired areas are treated. In this case, subcutaneous bacteria cannot tolerate heat and evaporate. The final stage of this procedure is compliance with the rules of care.

Facial skin care after cleansing

Cosmetologists advise women who have undergone laser cleaning not to stay outdoors for long to avoid the effects of negative factors on the skin: wind, frost, sun. It is also contraindicated to go to the solarium, sauna, swimming pool, or use scrubs for a week after the procedure. To prevent the appearance of age spots, it is recommended to lubricate the skin with sunscreen. After ultrasonic cleaning, you need to follow the same rules, except strict restrictions regarding exposure to ultraviolet radiation.

Mechanical cleaning is considered the most traumatic procedure. After cleansing the skin in this way, signs of inflammation on the skin may be present for some time. Therefore, mandatory aftercare actions after such a procedure are:

  • Limiting your time outdoors for a few days
  • The use of nourishing anti-inflammatory and antibacterial creams
  • Use of masks. In cases where the skin restoration process is normal, they can be made from fruits and vegetables. When the skin is very inflamed after cleansing, it is recommended to make masks containing antiseptic or other agents. There is no need to get carried away with their use. It is recommended to apply masks once every 3-4 days;
  • Do not use cosmetics for several days.

Cosmetologists say that if care is performed correctly, then after a while the inflammation will subside without a trace. Care is always mandatory, as in the absence of it, the condition of the skin can noticeably worsen.

Now you know how facial cleansing can be done at home and, having determined your skin type and making sure there are no contraindications, you can start doing it.

In conclusion, a recipe of two fruits that will help in care and replace a scrub, peeling and even a nourishing mask.

Many people have facial cleansing done by professionals in beauty salons, but there is not always time or money for this. Therefore, a similar procedure can be easily carried out at home. The result will be no worse, of course, if everything is done correctly. And for this it is important to know all the nuances of cleaning.

Why is cleaning necessary?

The sebaceous glands secrete a special substance that protects the epidermis from external influences. This is necessary to keep your skin soft and healthy for as long as possible. But genetics, poor environment, unhealthy lifestyle and hormonal imbalances often cause clogged skin pores.

These impurities oxidize and blackheads appear on the face. And if various bacteria get there, the skin becomes inflamed and acne forms. Therefore, the skin needs to be cleaned from time to time, removing dirt and allowing the skin to breathe. Then it will absorb better useful material and oxygen, and acne will stop appearing.

Contraindications

Facial cleansing is not suitable for everyone, as instead of helping, it can harm the skin. Therefore, you should not resort to this procedure if there are the following contraindications:

  • allergies or herpes;
  • dermatitis;
  • eczema or psoriasis;
  • sensitive skin;
  • large moles;
  • tendency to form scars;
  • for dystonia or bronchial asthma Do not steam your skin before cleansing your face.

Mechanical cleaning

If there are no contraindications, you can begin mechanical skin cleansing. First you need to cleanse your skin of cosmetics. To do this, it is better to use cosmetic milk or gel. Once the skin is cleansed, you need to massage it with a scrub. It should be tender with small particles. You can prepare the scrub yourself or use a store-bought one. If you don’t have a ready-made product at hand, it can be easily made from coffee grounds and sour cream. You can use sour cream instead olive oil.

The scrub should be applied to a slightly damp face and rubbed into the skin with light circular movements. You can leave this composition on the skin for a while. Then you need to wash your face and steam your skin well. To do this you will need a small saucepan or any other container with water. As soon as it boils, you should tilt your face over the water and cover your head with a towel. 15–20 minutes are enough for the pores to open. To improve skin health, you can steam the skin over a decoction medicinal herbs. It is best to use St. John's wort, mint or chamomile for this purpose.

After the skin has steamed well, you can begin removing blackheads. To do this, you need to wipe your hands with alcohol and your face with hydrogen peroxide. This disinfection will prevent bacteria from entering the skin and causing inflammation. Under no circumstances should you press on the skin with your nails. Otherwise, ugly scars will remain on your face forever.

If your nails are long, you can wrap your fingers with a napkin or bandage. If the point does not want to be squeezed out, there is no need to try to squeeze it out by force. This means that it is simply not fully matured, and all the dirt will not come out of it anyway. Inflammation will simply begin, and a pimple will form in this place in a few days.

During the procedure, you need to wipe your face with hydrogen peroxide. If you use medical alcohol instead of peroxide, the skin will begin to dry quickly and the pores will narrow. It will not be possible to clean them, besides, the epidermis in this case will begin to produce more oil, and the pores will become dirty faster.

It is best to wipe the skin with a product that contains alcohol after cleaning the pores. After this, you need to moisturize the skin well with cream. Cosmetologists recommend cleaning once a month, and if the skin is very oily, then it can be done more often. This procedure should be carried out in the evening so that the skin recovers overnight and the redness completely disappears.

There is no need to cleanse your face manually. After steaming, you can use a special product that exfoliates and cleanses the skin well. You can prepare it yourself. Just mix honey and salt. It is better to take liquid honey, and the salt should be very fine so that the skin is not injured. Massage the skin with this mixture for several minutes, being careful not to stretch it.

Cleaning with a mask

In addition to usually mechanical cleaning, other methods can be used to remove fat from pores, for example, special masks. A mask prepared with soda and salt perfectly cleanses pores. To do this, you must first lather your face well with soap or foam for washing. Then apply a mixture of soda and salt to the skin, after mixing them in equal proportions.

You need to gently rub the skin and pay special attention to the areas where blackheads appear most often. It only takes a few minutes to complete the procedure. After this, the mask is left on the face for 5 minutes. In this case, most often there are discomfort and tingling, but that's normal. This is how the mixture affects the skin. Then you need to wash your face. This mask removes dirt from pores well. For greater effect, the procedure can be repeated once a week.

If the skin pores are heavily clogged with grease and dirt, you need to use a film mask to cleanse. This product is easy to buy at a cosmetic store, or you can make it at home. To do this you will need 0.5 tablets of regular black activated carbon, half a teaspoon of gelatin and a little water. All ingredients should be mixed to form a thick porridge.

Beat the mixture well and put it in the microwave for 10 seconds. You can also warm up the mask in a steam bath, but it will take longer. Then, with a hard brush, you need to apply the composition to the face, as if “driving” it into the skin. After this, you need to wait until the mask is completely dry. There is no need to wash it off; it is better to try to carefully remove the film from the skin along with the contents of the pores.

For gentle cleansing, use an oatmeal mask. 1 tbsp is enough. l. oatmeal, which is poured with boiling water. The consistency of the mask should resemble thick sour cream. This product should be rubbed onto the skin, especially the forehead, cheeks and chin. Then leave the product for 20 minutes. Oatmeal absorbs oil well and removes dead skin cells. Well suited for sensitive and inflammation-prone skin.

Cleaning with bodyagi

Bodyaga perfectly cleanses the skin, but you need to make sure that the skin is not too sensitive and there is no inflammation. Otherwise, an allergy may appear. And the inflammation will “spread” throughout the entire face. Bodyagu can be bought in the form of a gel or powder. Gel is easier to use, but it does not have the same effect as powder.
