Where to start self-development? One helpful exercise. How to develop your personality? What you need to do for personal development

In this section, I will post articles, recommended books and, perhaps, just thoughts on how I see the opportunity to develop myself and develop my personality. After all, this is extremely important for a person of any specialty. And what can we say about such professions as manager and marketer - people who are constantly exposed to stress, periodic depression and creative crises.
In this first article, I will outline seven basic principles that I try to adhere to (90% successfully) for the development of myself as a specialist and a person.

1. Develop in everything

The first principle, paradoxically, is the acquisition of new skills and knowledge. It may sound strange, but there are no areas that I would not be interested in. Something more interesting, something less. It is impossible to know everything about everything, but you really want to ...
Read as much as you can. I use every opportunity to read something or listen to an audio book, report, article. Moreover, this applies to both scientific and artistic works. It may seem that this blurs the idea of the world and unnecessary information will interfere with focusing on the main thing. At first, that's how it was for me. But then, it turned out that all things in the world are interconnected, and by reading a book on psychology, you learn a lot about marketing and advertising.
I really like the expression that our knowledge is like a circle. What is inside is known to us, and what is outside is unknown. The larger the circle, the larger the circumference and the larger unknown and interesting we face. As our philosophy teacher used to say, the question WHY can be asked endlessly.

2. Soul and body must go together

We have developed a stereotype that there are two extreme points - a frail and helpless nerd, and a jock-athlete who does not know the multiplication table. This is fundamentally wrong. No, of course there are some, confirmation of stereotypes. But still, I am sure that every normal person should maintain a balance in this regard.
I came to this, I must say, not immediately. I also used to think that manual labor is harmful to knowledge workers. But it turned out to be the opposite. Several years ago I felt a serious advantage and any, even fairly simple physical efforts were difficult. On the other hand, in the evenings I often had a headache, and waking up in the morning, having slept for 8-10 hours, I got up already tired. This is precisely because of the lack of physical activity.
Also, let's face it. We don't do exercises not because of high moral principles, but 99% because of banal laziness, justifying ourselves with some kind of nonsense: oh, the weather is bad, I won't go to training; oh, I went to bed late yesterday, I will not do exercises today; oh, I'm late ... By justifying ourselves, we undermine our spirit and self-discipline.
So if you're a super nerd, it's time to start jogging in the morning. At the same time, you can listen to an audiobook if you are worried about wasted time.

3. Try new things

If you have been doing one thing for a long time, of course, your skills will be honed and you will become a real virtuoso in your field. But this does not mean at all that this is exactly what you should be doing all the time. Quite the opposite. Try something new, try to discover new facets in yourself. And even if you can't do it, don't be discouraged.
No, I am against the approach: you need to try everything in life (including drugs, fights with riot police, etc.). Yes, and forcing yourself to do against your will is not at all necessary (except for those cases when you know that you need it in life, for example, learning a foreign language, or the same physical exercise). But to discover a new genre, to visit places where you haven’t been yet, to do something that you didn’t do is still worth it.
And here people are so afraid of disappointment that they constantly try to do what they have already tried and achieved at least some success: they go to the same restaurants, communicate with the same people, go to the same resorts ...

4. Don't be afraid of failure

Many write about this, talk even more, but very few people use it in life. The fear of being misunderstood, funny, or just disappointment in their own abilities stops many and prevents them from doing great things.
Failure is just the valuable experience you get to get to the next level. I remember when I first came to tennis training, I saw how "grown-up guys" play there. With what force they hit, with what speed the ball flies, and they manage to react and beat off. Moreover, not just to beat off - but also to where it is necessary (on TV this does not make such an impression). Against their background, my attempts to hit the ball, the coach thrown over me looked not so much pathetic as ridiculous. But you know what? Nobody laughed. Time passed, and now I easily play with them on an equal footing, and even occasionally win.
But then every workout I had the idea to send all this to hell with words - nothing comes of it! It's not mine! I'd better go sit at the computer, I can do it better. But I didn’t do it, I endured it, and I don’t regret it at all.
This is a simple example, and I'm sure everyone can easily find many such episodes in their lives. Therefore, in the future, remember why we are falling ...

5. Think about the future

Another principle, which, alas, many people forget is thinking about the future. I do not mean bright dreams that 5-10 years will pass, and I will sail on my own yacht to my own island. I mean serious plans and ways of their implementation (of course, someone will have a yacht and an island, but there are still very few of them).
The fact is that I quite often came across the fact that people do not think at all about their future, even the short term. For example, they buy an expensive car or apartment on credit. However, their income cannot cover the monthly payments. Now we have the money - and then we’ll come up with something. And when that very "there" comes, they complain that the banks undress them.
But this is the simplest example. In general, you should have a picture of your future, and - quite specific, with dates and numbers. Then you can control your path to your dream. Well, for example, you want to buy the same apartment in 5 years. Do you know your income? What should you have in 5 years? How will it grow? Will you find a new job, or will your current boss appreciate you? For what? Will you get better at work? Perhaps you are missing something? Go to courses? Or is it a "temporary" job before a big "business". When do you plan to start it? Why? How much money?
It is in this vein that it is desirable to direct your thoughts.
Of course, you should leave room for unexpected accidents, otherwise it would be boring. But constantly living in the hope of an accident is somehow frivolous.

6. Know how to enjoy life

Work, ideas, future, hack, great projects - it's all great. But is this what you live for? Often people forget what all this is for. Remember: "do we live to work or work to live?" Don't go overboard. Enjoy life, travel, meet friends, go dancing, or do something else that really pleases you (walking in the rain, painting on the pavement with crayons, feeding wild ducks, cold beer in warm company).
Many people underestimate the importance of positive emotions in life. It has long been proven that people who do not know how to enjoy life (or can but for some reason do not do it) are less valuable workers than a positive person (in all respects).
No, of course I do not mean that you have to "forget to work." It also happens that everyone needs to turn on a workaholic and spend the weekend cleaning up their tails after themselves or a colleague. But if you still have a day off, you should not spend it at the machine (computer). Take up your hobby or whatever. I assure you, if you do not consciously direct your thoughts to work, this does not mean at all that your subconscious mind does not think about it.
It often happens to me that you sit all day, struggling with some task, and nothing. And then he passed out, sitting in the evening in front of the TV or in a cafe with friends and bam - an image of the solution to this problem arises in my head. Himself, and without any effort.
I think this is familiar to many.
In general, enjoy life, do what you like and always try to think positively.

7. Appreciate the people around you

And the last principle that I would like to draw your attention to is value the people around you. I mean EVERYONE: your relatives, friends, colleagues, just acquaintances. After all, one way or another - they support you, give you strength, help solve your problems, and just make you happy.
Alas, we often realize the importance of a person only after some serious or irreversible consequences (quarrel, illness or death). You shouldn't be led to that. Don't throw hurtful words in the heat of the moment. Don't hurt people. Remember that each phrase may be the last that this person hears from you.
And simply, appreciate people. Also, consider the unusual properties of emotions. Both negative and positive emotions tend to self-replicate and expand. When you shouted at a colleague, he feels bad, and your soul is lousy. On the contrary, they helped, encouraged - and it is easier for him, and your mood has improved.

Of course, this is not a complete list of principles. But still, I laid some foundation. I am sure that if you use at least them, your life will improve significantly, and, moreover, rather quickly and in all directions.
Finally, I would like to say a few words about luck. Many people believe that success largely depends on luck and there is no point in trying to do something, you just need to wait for your finest hour. So this is the wrong position. Let me give you a simple analogy. Let's say you are playing dice and you need to get a six. If the number of throws is limited, then the probability is 1/6, i.e. there really is an element of luck. And if not? What's stopping you from rolling the dice 6 times? 12? 100? You can roll until the six is dropped 5 times in a row!
It's the same in life. You can try to do something once. Or you can try again and again - and then you will not leave any chance for luck! She will simply have to love you!

Every day our world moves forward and develops with the speed of the wind. Many people strive to keep up with him and keep up with the times in order to live happily and comfortably. If a person does not strive to develop, he begins to degrade, which leads to unsatisfactory life and the habit of blaming everyone for his unhappy fate. To prevent this from happening, you should not stop there, but move forward and not forget your beginning.

What to do first?

Often people themselves understand that it is necessary to change in life and, first of all, to start with self-development. They are pushed to this by various reasons, falling in love, life problems, the environment and a dull one, from which they want to quickly get out. Your desire to change everything must be sincere and enormous, this is the only way you will succeed. If today you want, and tomorrow not, then the result will be zero, and you will remain at the same level at which you were.

Many live completely aimlessly in our world, and therefore they do not have any bright moments in their lives. For such personalities, all days are similar to each other. A person wakes up, goes to work, comes from it, goes to bed, and in the morning everything starts all over again. And in old age, he begins to understand that he wasted his time. Successful and rich people always achieve what they want with hard work.

Therefore, first of all, it is important to know what you want and learn how to correctly set tasks for yourself. When a person has his own goal, not imposed by anyone, then he will do everything in order to achieve the final result. He is inspired by a dream, so he will not stop at anything, naturally within reasonable limits.

A big mistake many people make is. They know what they want, but they do not take any action, they postpone everything until later until better times. This is absolutely impossible to do, because life does not stand still. You should hurry up and start making your goals a reality.

One of the rules of developing people is. They try to write down everything that happens to them during the day. Many people think that only little girls and young ladies are doing this, but this is just a delusion. With a diary, you can understand, analyze not only your actions, but also character traits. So you realize which area you need to pay more attention to and self-development.

Where to start your changes and development?

After numerous conversations with people who have managed to change their lives, psychologists have identified several important recommendations that will be very useful in starting to develop for other people.

One of the main tips for starting self-development is the daily routine. It is very important to learn how to stick to it on a daily basis. Make a plan for the whole day, from getting up to sleeping. Start small. , about 6 o'clock in the morning, and go to bed no later than eleven in the evening. Once you achieve this, you can safely add new items. A person must find his own biorhythms, because this way he loses vigor, strength and energy.

Hobby. People who have a favorite pastime develop gradually and evenly. The main thing is to choose exactly what you like the most, what brings you pleasure, freedom and good mood. It can be anything from playing chess to surfing.

Reading books and articles. We now take most of the information from the Internet, but we should not forget about the literature. Try to read every day not only interesting books in your favorite genre, but also switch to other topics. When you immerse yourself in reading, you get rid of negative thoughts and clear your mind of unnecessary worries, and when books are also motivating, it will help you and your strength.

Many people want to become well-rounded and well-educated in all walks of life. The concept of such a development originated during the Renaissance (Renaissance), therefore, a comprehensively educated person is called "a man of the Renaissance", and Leonardo da Vinci is cited as the most striking example. It is not easy to become a truly multifaceted person, but it is possible. To do this, you need to actively follow your hobbies and interests, get a variety of experiences and constantly work on your education.

Steps

Part 1

Have a varied experience

Explore the world around you. Satisfying your curiosity by discovering the world around you is one of the best ways to become a more versatile person. Traveling, new dishes, new interests and hobbies will broaden your horizons and help you look at many things in a new way.

Try new activities. If you are interested in some activity or a friend invited you to join it, take it and try it: you will get new experiences and expand your horizons. Even if in the end you don't like a new activity, you will still become more knowledgeable in this area and generally versatile than if you decided not to try at all.

Join hobby clubs in your city, district, or school. Communication among them will give you the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people and opinions. In these clubs, you can learn different points of view, and this will help you become more developed.

Travel as often as possible. You can learn a lot of new and interesting things about different places, countries and cultures. While traveling, you will have the opportunity to meet new people, stories and opinions, which, of course, will affect your self-development.

Try new dishes. Don't be afraid to try unfamiliar cuisine if you get the chance. New foods, combinations and flavors will help you learn and appreciate someone else's culture and may even have a positive impact on your health.

    • If you live in a big city, it will be quite easy for you to try new dishes in any cuisine. You can certainly find restaurants in most cultures: just search for what you need.
    • If you live far from a metropolis, consider preparing your own food from different nations. In books or on the internet, you will find recipes that you can easily prepare at home.
    • You can even set your table in a matching style by choosing the right crockery and napkins.
  1. Meet new people. Each person has his own opinion and his own view of things, which is formed on the basis of his personal experience. Meet new people from whom you can learn something new in order to become a more developed person in different areas.

Volunteer or just help others. Simple acts of kindness and helping others will miraculously affect and diversify your life. Volunteering will help you learn a lot and become a more developed person.

    Part 2

    Learn and learn again
    1. Educate yourself. An important factor in the development of a versatile personality is self-study, which is based on independent study of materials from different sources. Without new knowledge, you will not be able to develop, therefore, in order to broaden your horizons, first of all, you need education.

      • For self-education, you can use many different sources. You can take lessons, read textbooks, watch educational and documentaries, or even just chat on some topic with another person - all this will give you new information and broaden your horizons.
    2. Attend training courses and other activities. You can continue your education throughout your life, attend seminars and lectures, receive additional professional education or undergo advanced training. The development of intelligence and skills will help you look at things from a different perspective, as well as become an interesting and comprehensively developed person.

Read different sources and media. Reading a variety of publications will help you understand opinions and views that differ from yours. This is the best way to become more developed and broaden your horizons.

Develop your opinion and point of view. Use new information and experience to form your own views on certain issues. A truly multifaceted personality is distinguished by the ability not only to receive knowledge, but also to use it in one's life.

  2. What is self-development

Human personality is a fickle quantity. Over the course of life, it undergoes many changes, depending on what tests we endure and what tasks we set ourselves. And even living in the same rhythm and adhering to a stable schedule, we change. Often - not for the better, since the lack of development almost always leads to degradation.

Many people in their 30s and 35s have a personality crisis. At these moments, we understand that just living and working is not enough. That we want something deeper and more global from ourselves, that the minimums do not suit us, and that not everything can be measured with money and other tangible measures.

Someone comes to this earlier, someone later, and someone does not come at all. For some people, the trigger is shock, for others, insight occurs naturally and gradually. As a result, there is a desire to take the path of self-development, stop making demands on the world and start working on oneself, to engage in self-development.

What is self-development? This is a constant and complex process of working on oneself, developing one's positive qualities in various areas - physical, intellectual, creative, emotional, spiritual. Self-development is characterized by voluntariness and self-control, when a person learns new information and applies it in practice without any external coercion.

Why is it important to engage in self-development

Indeed, why all this torment? Learning new information, exhausting sports, constant stress ... After all, you can relax on the couch, watch TV series and enjoy "doing nothing". But idleness is an imaginary happiness, the reverse side of which is fraught with depression and disappointment in life.

Man is made like this: he needs constant growth, the search for something new. Stopping moving (not only in the physical, but also in the mental sense), he begins to degrade. Swimming is an example - in order to stay on the water, we have to make an effort. Having relaxed and lost control, the swimmer immediately goes to the bottom.

Take a look around and compare happy and unhappy acquaintances. What is the difference? Happy open a new business, study at trainings, go in for sports, travel constantly, learn something new. Unhappy people have been working at the same job for decades, have fun only with the help of beer and are constantly looking for those to blame for their failures.

The answer to our question is simple - you need to engage in self-development in order to become happy. Anyone who has set foot on this path understands that both the process itself and the results bring pleasure. And that this resource is inexhaustible, because the upper level of perfection simply does not exist.

Where to start self-development and self-improvement

The very, very first step that precedes any action is thought. Desire, idea - call it what you want. They are individual and are formulated differently for each. From the vague "I don't want to live like this anymore" to "I plan to learn five languages and earn at least one hundred thousand a month."

The first thing to do is want. And you need to want for a long time, persistently and continuously. At first, you will not understand how to get down to business at all, doubt your abilities, wander in the dark due to the lack of guidelines ...

Then the answers will start coming. They are manifested in a book that someone gave as a gift, in an unusual person, in new opportunities (for example, going on a multi-day hike with tents).

At this moment, you need to accept all constructive proposals and all unexpected challenges. But you yourself must constantly look for these answers, strive for them, and not sit idly by. Read articles on the Internet, watch videos on the topic of self-development, look for books, try some of the recommendations in practice. From all this, a methodology will begin to emerge, the first results will appear, and you will see your path.

This can take a lot of time - it all depends on the person himself and his starting position. A month will be enough for someone, while someone will be in search for a year or two. The main thing is not to give up and remember that the search will definitely be crowned with success.

8 reasons why people don't develop

It would seem that everything is simple - you take it and develop. You bought a book and read it. Or go to the gym, grab a barbell, and swing whatever you want. But no! If everything were simple, there would be much more people engaged in self-development.

There are many factors, the absence of which prevents us from improving.

    Willpower

Psychologists have long argued about what willpower is, why some have it, while others do not, and what to do about it. We spent a lot of experiments and research and came to the conclusion: willpower is such a personal quality that can be developed like a muscle. And its presence is mainly determined by upbringing and habits inherent in childhood. Lucky for those who had disciplined and strong-willed parents who developed these qualities in their children. If this is not the case in the family, well, the path will be long, but everyone can do it.

In defining willpower as a concept, the important thing is that thanks to this personality trait, we can follow our decisions and do whatever is necessary to achieve our goals without succumbing to laziness, reluctance, or procrastination.

How to develop willpower? There are two main techniques: doing and not doing. Doing - doing unpleasant or boring but rewarding activities, such as exercising in the morning. Not doing is the deliberate refusal of harmful actions. For example, from smoking or overeating.

By the way, church fasting is precisely a practice aimed at training willpower: by refusing to eat certain foods, we learn to control ourselves. If you dig even deeper, it turns out that in all religions there are similar practices of refusal - from food, comfort, property, certain thoughts or actions. This is because the technique of not-doing strengthens willpower much more.

Willpower is a spiritual quality of the highest grade, one of the most important for a person. Having developed it, you can radically change your life. Have you heard the phrase: "I know how to do it right, but for some reason I do the opposite"? This is what people with undeveloped willpower say.

    Motivation

Motivation is a powerful force. When a person really wants something, he is ready to move mountains. Did something go wrong? That means they wanted badly. After all, when you really want a cake, are you ready to go three kilometers to the night supermarket for it?

So what, it turns out, you need to teach yourself to want correctly? Exactly! Our cunning brain is aimed at saving energy, as Mother Evolution ordered. And he will come up with excuses to discourage his master from unnecessary work: “Well, why is this necessary? We already feel good! Oh, look, a new message in the messenger! Look, look, kittens in the picture! "

Therefore, you need to use cunning against the attitudes of your own subconscious, lazy and wanting only to have fun.

How to motivate yourself to work? First of all, you need to set the right goals, because even the best motivation will not work when you do not understand what you want, or set false goals imposed by society. For example, money or status. Listening to yourself, you may suddenly find that you really want to hitchhike or volunteer in Africa, and not spin like a squirrel in a wheel to satisfy other people's needs.

So, having set the correct goal, we concretize and visualize it. What business? What will you do, target audience, idea, team, slogan, thematic colors? What house? How many floors, is there a garage, basement, sauna, how many rooms?

For example, you want to start your own business, but have never done business. Create an environment in which you can understand how suitable such an activity is for you: for example, register withfree time management game"Your start" . This is a business simulator, where you can start and develop your business in a fun and safe way, having received a lot of useful information about entrepreneurship in the process.

After fleshing out and visualizing, we must remember our goal and its positive emotional components. Constantly imagine yourself doing interesting business projects or choosing curtains for the bedroom in your home. Think good.

Do not doubt your abilities, believe in victory and do not assume other options. People who have achieved high performance in life are often asked: "How did you manage to implement such a complex project?" In response, many of them say: "I made a decision that I must go this path to the end, whatever it may be."

    Memory

Memory is very important for a harmonious personality. We need the ability to memorize information and operate with it all the time: in school, work and even entertainment. You can keep up a conversation only when you can tell something interesting. And how to do this if neither the plot of the book you have read, nor the twists and turns of your own journey hold in your head?

For successful work, memory is one of the main tools. The more a person achieves, the more information flows through him. How to cope with it if the "flash drive" does not hold large volumes? Write everything down? Well, no, this is not an option. Try it take the course "Flashing" in which you will improve your thinking speed, memory and reading speed.

Memory, like all other qualities, can be developed through exercise. For example, read, how to get smarter in 15 minutes a dayand put this information into practice.

    Time planning

It is impossible to complete complex and multi-stage work without planning all its steps. This also applies to self-development. Anyone who wants to change their life for the better should have a plan for the year, month, week and day.

But you also need to be able to plan. Not everyone succeeds in making realistic and feasible plans the first time. Therefore, we recommend that you study25 time scheduling rulesso that this skill makes the job easier, rather than complicating it.

There are planning secrets that optimize work so much that you wonder - where did I do so much time before? To learn how to correctly use all 24 hours, goa free course to help you increase your productivity.

    Discipline

Discipline is another whale of self-development that you cannot do without. All practices aimed at improvement require constant and routine repetition. Anyone can go for a run once, hold out for a week - every third, and only a few can turn running into an integral part of the schedule.

Discipline is necessary both in order to give up bad habits, and in order to adhere to the daily routine, and for accustoming yourself to proper nutrition.

You also need discipline in order to fight one of the worst enemies of development - laziness. Finding the answers to the questionhow to overcome laziness, we are getting closer to our goals.

    Psychology

Our results are highly dependent on thinking and attitudes. If you think "I still won't succeed," then it will. If you consider all rich people to be thieves and villains, then you will never become rich - we do not want to be bad. If you are sure that "all men are goats", then such a companion will meet.

How to think and what to think is up to us. Find out,how to think effectively- and you will save a lot of time and effort that was spent on self-digging, worries and destructive emotions.

    Self-esteem

A person accepts only what he considers himself worthy. Everyone sets the level of income, attention of the opposite sex and other life criteria for himself.

Unrealistic self-esteem (overestimated or underestimated) prevents its owner from realizing himself in life. We commit illogical actions and make a choice in favor of failure, subconsciously believing that this should be our destiny. Failure, suffering, dealing with toxic people are all the choices of a person with unhealthy self-esteem.

To fix the situation, you need to understandreasons for low self-esteemand try to eliminate them. Often they are hidden in deep childhood, are associated with the divorce of parents or bullying at school - it is very difficult to let go of such things, but it is necessary.

    Self confidence

I will succeed - successful people keep repeating to themselves. They are confident that they can achieve more, and even in the event of failure, they continue to believe that they will succeed, but next time.

The most important human resource is himself. You need to trust yourself, believe in yourself, respect yourself and love.

But how many people hate themselves ... They do not even want to buy beautiful clothes for themselves, because they "did not deserve it." Before you start developing, you need to find the answer to the question:how to love yourself? Self-improvement is impossible without self-love ...

A harmonious personality is strong at the same time in all life planes. To develop yourself evenly, you need to draw up a step-by-step plan, which will include all the main vectors of growth.

This plan is different for everyone. One solves integrals in his head, but has not yet learned to build relationships with the opposite sex, the second throws a two-pound weight with one left, but at the same time has read only one book in his entire life. And the third one may come to the understanding that he really does not know how to do anything and has not developed any of the vectors.

When building a plan, you need to take into account all areas, but at the same time perform supportive work where you have already achieved success (so as not to skew in the opposite direction) and devote more time to those parties that are not yet developed.

Spirituality is a complex and multifaceted issue. We will not talk about religion and philosophy now, these are too complex topics to discuss now. Let's talk about those aspects of spirituality that make the person himself happy.

Gratitude. Having learned to be grateful for every little thing, we always feel joy, even in difficult times. A grateful person will be able to find a ray of hope in the fluttering of spring leaves and the kitten's games. He easily forgives the shortcomings of loved ones, remembering that they were there when help was needed. Gratitude is wealth.

Love. To love unselfishly, without possessive habits, of course, without demands, is a high art. It gives you joy, just like playing your favorite instrument or contemplating the ocean. True love knows neither fear nor pain.

A spiritual person always feels responsible for his actions, lives consciously, strives to be better. He does not lose faith and does not allow himself to fall into despair, strives to learn about the world and be free from passions, addictions and negative thoughts.

What is meant by the words "personal growth"? This is the improvement of indicators responsible for intellectual activity and the wealth of the inner world, an improvement in the quality of life at the mental level. Achievement of goals, positive thinking, development of memory and intelligence - all this is included in the concept of personal growth.

To make it completely clear, I will say that the results of personal growth will forever remain with us, even if we turn out to be a complete bankrupt without a roof over our heads. A mature person will have enough knowledge and skills, fortitude and motivation, determination and self-confidence to withstand the most difficult situation. A person with low personal indicators is dependent on material property, therefore, he lives in fear of losing what he has.

People who have gone through illness or have lost the ability to work, like no one else acutely understand the importance of health. You can work, study, develop, love and learn about the world only if you have the strength to do so.

Young people often neglect their health. It seems to them that they will always be strong, no matter how they eat, drink alcohol or smoke. Everyone has ups and downs in life, and often we blame others for our failures, fate, but we can not see our shortcomings point-blank. In order to change something in the world around you, you need to start, first of all, with yourself.

One day you will ask yourself the question - "where to start working on yourself?" Self-improvement is a delicate matter, you need to approach it very competently so that at one moment there is no desire to give up everything.

The wheel of life - as a strong motivation on the path of self-improvement

If you do not know where to start self-development How to choose the right path for yourself, first you need to understand where you are at. The Wheel of Life is a system that helps you analyze your level of success.

To do this, you need to draw a circle, divide it into 8 sectors:

    - career and business. Do you enjoy your work?

    - finance. Are you satisfied with your salary? Do you have enough funds for material independence?

    - friends and entourage. Does the environment help you develop? What do you get from communicating with friends?

    - family and love. Is there harmony in your relationships with loved ones?

    - health and sports. How good is your health? Would you like to make your body attractive and lose weight?

    - entertainment and recreation. Are you organizing your vacation correctly in order to not only recharge your batteries, but also get something useful for yourself?

    - education and personal growth. What knowledge have you acquired in order to develop and improve yourself?

    - the brightness of life. Are you satisfied with your life? Are there enough bright, memorable moments in it?

Each sector is your life value, which is necessary in order to feel the happiest. Thus, you will put things in order in your goals and you will better understand what you need to strive for. Also, do not forget to write what exactly in each sector you lack for complete happiness.

Each sector must be rated on a 10-point scale. You must be as honest with yourself as possible. No need to look for excuses for your saggy tummy or small salary. Just finally admit to yourself that everything is bad in these areas and you need to do something about it.

After that, connect the points on the scale with a line. If the shape in the center resembles a circle, then you can only be congratulated. You are in complete harmony with yourself and with the world around you.

If you get a curved figure, you can see which sector you need to work on in order to achieve harmony and happiness. In addition, by tidying up one sector, you can positively influence other parts as well.

After analyzing each sector, you must set global goals for yourself, which need to be broken down into several small ones and already confidently strive towards them. In addition, the goal should be achievable, so be realistic and do not try to become slim, like Angelina Jolie, and find yourself a prince in the person of Brad Pitt.

Keep a diary and write down what you have achieved, every little victory. For example, you have given up on unhealthy but tasty food. Praise yourself for this.

    - break the path to the main goal into several small ones that are easy to achieve. Once this becomes a habit, you can set more goals for yourself;

    - In the evening, think about everything that happened to you during the day. Write down your successes and failures. If you did something wrong or that you didn’t succeed, think about what would change if you did it differently.

If you once decide to change your life, stick to this idea always, and believe that the result will meet all expectations.
