Almost every modern laptop is equipped with a Bluetooth module that allows for wireless connection between devices. As a rule, Bluetooth uses the same radio module to operate, so both of these wireless networks are activated using a button on the laptop keyboard with an antenna on it. The screenshot below shows an example of such a key.

Setting up Widcomm

But we are most interested in the “Local Services” and “Client Applications” sections. Once detected, you will be asked to enter a PIN code to authorize the connection. If the connection is successful, you will have access to the desired function.
If you plan to connect the device to your PC more than once, then the easiest way is to create a standard connection for it. To do this, select the “Connect Bluetooth device” item in the menu - a special wizard will launch. At the first stage, as in the case of a quick connection, it will scan the available devices and give us a list of them:

In our example, we can configure pairing with a phone in the form of a serial COM port, an audio gateway, as well as an FTP and OPP server. For transferring files, the best option is an FTP server. Mark it and click “Next”.
